Easily the best ww, ATG in the making as he's one of the true elite fighters in boxing. Have him as 1B in my p4p rankings which are the only rankings that matter and mean anything
What's exactly is "tested" to you ? Seems online fans think being tested is showing major vulnerabilities yet still winning. I'd love to hear what this forum needs for fighters to be "tested" or proven to them
Jeff Horn at once stage was to fight Spence for mandatory contender for title. Arum quickly scrapped this. Brooks and Spence want no part of him. Anyway he seems to be quite humble. https://www.reddit.com/r/Boxing/comments/4xzhou/i_am_errol_spence_jr_top_welterweight_contender/
I view him as a dangerous former prospect now contender. For whatever reason others aren't very keen on facing him. Not somebody to fight unless it's for a belt and a large sum.
I recently started doing this while watching tape on active fighters. Helped me pick the Khytrov/Aleem fight. Not sure if I should be embarrassed or not.
Untested, unproven. We need to see how good his chin is because his defense is rather lacking at times and the fact that he hasn't been in there with anyone that can crack is kind of alarming.
Spence has only been in with featherfisted competition. If he continues this run of non-punchers people are going to start questioning his chin. Do his handlers know something that we don't?
Spence is looking pretty good, but he needs to fight someone good to tell, not ATG, way too early..........
Who has this man fought to prove he is p4p? I'm sick of listening to all the gushing over this roid ridden overrated thug who has done absolutely nothing but look good against a 42 year old pensioner and a part time boxer in Algeiri I sincerely look forward to seeing him fight his first live opponent before witnessing his head get cracked open and then his fanboys disappearing at will.
He is the real deal, He will be a 3 division world champion by the end of his career. Him and Brook are deffo the best 2 Welters at the moment it would be great if they fought but i suspect 154 will be where they will meet eventually. Yeah he has flaws, but if you spend enough time to find negatives from a fighter you could find negatives in them all.
He looks really good so far. Athletic, good variety, excellent fundamentals, long reach etc. Only possible flaw I've seen is his footwork. He often adopts a wide stance and likes his feet planted when throwing, he could be lighter on his feet. Will be interesting to see him against a fighter who makes him move either by forcing him back consistently or making him chase. Also he needs to step up to see how he copes when things don't always go his way, it's easy to look good when you are in total control, how he deals with adversity will tell us a lot about his potential.
