How do you rate Floyds power

A lot of people have been pointing to the De la Hoya fight as proof that Floyd has underrated power. Oscar was hurt once coming in-I would argue that Oscar had dictated the fight up to that point and was not expecting that shot-hence the wobble. Has Floyd got the 'power' to stop Hatton and how do you rate him against other fighters?

I havent include Cotto in the poll..

Floyd does not have clubbing power, but his punches are sharp. If you get hit coming in on the point of the chin, you get wobbled by most fighters.

Floyd's punches are of a high quality as far as leverage, placement and timing goes. As for raw power at 147 he's decidedly below average.

What round did DLH get wobbled by Floyd? Maybe I need to rewatch.

Anyway I think FLoyds style is organisied around protecting his hands these days. He doesnt follow through very much which negates any potential power.

I think Mosley and Floyd had the same level of power that could hurt any opponents, have similar quickness though Shane tends to stand his ground while PBF applies a hit and run style which could result a lesser power. I rate Floyd's power, average. BTW, I don't understand the purpose of the poll if we are talking about Floyd? Or maybe I just need to reread it.

Anyone can KO anyone if the timing and placement is on the money (Maske/Mundine). Floyd is more of a precision puncher. He definitely can hurt you, but it isn't one-punch KO power! His biggest weapon is the accumulation of punches that he lands due to his deadly accuracy! You never get the chance to recover once he has yoou stunned. Zab is a similar puncher to Floyd (Zab may hit a little harder?), but he relies on the fast accumulation of punches. DLH, Hatton and Mosely are the biggest puncher's (one-punch power) on that list????? And since I have never been hit by any of them it is just my opinion based on watching each fighter numerous times!!!

I really dont think Hattons power is as good as the poll suggests. I actually voted for Mosley, though in retrospect, it probably is still DLH. I think Floyds power is underrated, probably because he never uses it anymore. But he aint feather fisted.

no way does Floyd hit as hard as Shane or Zab. He rarely puts his whole body into his punches. I don't even think I've ever seen him wail on a heavybag. Everything is about precision punches. Not that it's a bad thing, but Mosley loads up a lot with his shots. So does Zab.
