Not his record (wins/losses etc), his résumé. I've got - from this era - Cotto, Manny and Bradley ahead of him.
Bradley never really fought anyone relevant at WW Catchweight dont count so take manny out as well Who did Cotto beat but past prime martinez, and that wasn't at 147
Cotto fought Judah, Margarito, Clottey, Pac & SSM at LW. Bradley fought Manny x2 (anyone relevant you say?) laughable!) Marquez & Provodnikov.
For someone who is considered a great fighter and who stayed at the weight for nearly a decade, his WW resume is **** poor. Remember that he took a vacation when it was waxing hot back in 2007-2009 or he fought non-welters like hatton and oscar. He ducked several top WWs like margarito, williams, prime cotto, pacquiao.
Cotto's one win over Margarito (a man that Floyd avoided) is better than Floyd's WW resume. Or does a win over Ortiz, Guerrreo and Maidana beat that?
Margarito, the cheater who after was found out became irrelevant ? Or is the man who exposed ( and beat ) cheating margarito the PED user Mosley who proceeded to lose to Floyd after not a relevant win ?
Mayweather's resume at 147 is above Cotto, Pacquaio and any other right now. Do not let the hate get to you.... Yes, I get upset at Mayweather because he doesn't fight the best at times but he has done things which are impressive! He went to 154 and took on DLH and all of DLH's terms..... He went to 152 and fought a young, tough Canelo Alvarez..... He fought Super Judah when Judah was Judah.... He had issues in that fight but pulled it off... He has done impressive things...
You're counting fights at 154 and 152 on his WW resume. Zab was coming from a loss when floyd fought him and he was never super. For a boxer that has been fighting at the weight since 2006, it's pretty poor. An old mosley is his greatest win at the weight. He has stronger resume at LMW.
