I think the Collazzo fight was a shock for Hatton at 147, he was'nt past it. I've always said Mayweather finished Hatton, against Lazcano he looked ****ed, then the Malignaggi fight was a farce

You guys always have to bring pacquiao into every ****ing Floyd thread. This **** is getting old. This has nothing to do with the OP!

Slightly overstating it, there was more holding in those 4 rounds than 12 of Mares vs Perez.

On Hatton vs Mayweather, i dont consider it to be a particularly good win, the reason? because putting aside the fact that Hatton previously struggled at 147, he was just not on Mayweather's level, nor Pacquiao's, Hatton could of fought either man at any weight and he would of lost, but thats to do with levels, Hatton is just not an elite fighter at any weight.

It seems most of these posters fell prey to the hype. There was considerable excitement leading up to the fight, legitimized only by Hatton's performance in his win over Tszyu, but really Hatton had no chance. He almost proved me wrong in the first round when a left hook staggered Mayweather backwards, but that was it. It was still shocking to see Hatton go down the way he did, but all in all, it was just another handpicked opponent of virtually no risk for Mayweather.

It was a great victory IMO. More than he gets credit for.

Put down that Meth pipe!

As I recall, it was Mayweatehr who ruined Hatton and Pacman who fought the ruined version, so who's following who?

Tell you what. I'm taking bets that Mayweather whops Pac's Rat eating ass even easier then his beatdown of Mosley. Any takers? :deal

If Floyd had beaten Hatton at 140, I'd rate it as an excellent win.

As he beat him at 147, I rate it only as a very good win. Collazo had already proven that Hatton was not the same fighter at 147 as he was at 140, Ricky was too small, and he was not comfortable with the extra weight on him.

Floyd's performance vs Hatton was superb, but as a win I say it was very good.

In terms of Floyd's wins, I rank them:

1.Corrales
2.Castillo 2
3.Mosley
4.Oscar

I can't give a placing to Castillo 1 as I firmly believe he lost that fight by 2 points.

I rate it higher than his overrated win over Chico.

Floyd didnt just beat Hatton in the ring, he beat him out of it during the promotion tour of it with his constant taunting and insulting. When Hatton complained that Mayweather wanted to give him Anal sex, I already knew that Floyd had gotten into his head successfully.

Why is it that anytime Floyd gives someone their first loss, his hardcores swear up and down he automatically ruins them? His win over Hatton wasn't vicious by any means though he did wear him the **** down and fed him some ring post. Pac's knockout of Hatton was a nasty hook that put him out instantly in the second round.Straight up unconscious. Collazo was a good indicator that Hatton wasn't suited for WW or the truly top level opposition that weight class had,let alone the number 1 at the time.

What the ****? What made Hatton say that?

This is my favorite Mayweather victory. It wasn't Void's usual style, but Hatton was one of the few guys that just couldn't stop.

The atmosphere made this fight and highlighted $'s villain role in the sport. All these foreigners traveling across an ocean to support their hero and champion, but their man was made useless before falling.

I like the picture they used of Hatton for the article, so fitting.
