Well I just felt 35% was a bit mean, it's sort of a lower cut off point.

Believe me, I thought about it... sad I know.

What do you read into the signing of this Mexican lad?

Glazer ****s tightening the pursestrings? Is this a sign of things to come or is it a shrewd signing before the World Cup? :think

I guess this summer will answer a lot of the questions. Giggs and Scholes are on their last legs, they have a season left in them and it would be pure madness to wait until they're retired to replace them. If we don't buy proven commodities I'll be concerned that the transfer budget is far more restricted than the ****s make out.

Pretty much the same mate :good

It may well turn out to be a very good buy (from what i've seen of him I have been impressed) however you hit the nail on the head when you say it is worrying that were having to go for hit and hope buys 'pre' world cup in the hope that he has a huge world cup and then it looks a better buy.

We need someone who is comfortable on the left wing (Nani isn't strong on that side and Valencia cannot play there at all) and a player in the middle who can control the tempo of a game. Basically a new giggs and Scholes. Giggs can offer bit part appearances now at the most and Scholes is gone for me. We should let him go, maybe offer him a role at the club, but as far as playing he shouldn't be.

For me we need them two signings and i'll be happy. Strong hints round my way that milner is on the way to OT in the summer which is decent but we need someone from Midfield who is a constant goal threat which we don't have.

He does look quite good. I read another forum and the Mexican fans and the fans of Chivas rated him as their only good player in a team that were struggling last year. They rave about him. So I've a bit more hope than I did for Manucho or Tosic  Tis a gamble though, in an ideal world we'd see Villa for 40 million...if we weren't in ****ing debt that would be easily attainable given the revenues of the club

I agree we need those players, and a keeper for me. Foster should go, PIG is a #2, VDS is nearly FOURTY YEARS OLD  We'll be rolling him out on a zimmer shortly.

I'd be a little disapointed if we signed Milner I must admit. I think the lads a solid player but I don't see that extra class in him thats going to propel us or really improve us, I just don't. I don't see the talent in him to reach that either. Of course I'd give him a chance to show his worth if it did happen.

Yeah I know mate. Not really a world class signing that you have to be expecting from United is he ???

Thats the one I want too, everyone at United should be doing evrything in there remit to get Villa at ours for this season

now theres a bit of some smart ****.

I feel kessler needs to ****in batter froch so he shuts his hole about a decision

froch needs that karma...i like that he has fashioned himself into someone that deserves to be knocked out so i can hear his next interview.

Not at all. He'd be a good squad player but considering he's unlikely to be that cheap I don't see the point. We seem to be in the market for young talent (Hernandez, Smalling etc) OR proven premiership players for middling fees (Valencia, rumours of Milner...) but nobody top class.

It is concerning we don't seem to be able to splurge on a Rio or Rooney anymore. Our net spend since the Glazers have been here is positive,we've spent **** all and actually made money on transfers.

If the club wasn't in debt we'd actually have 80 million + the years transfer budget without even breaking a sweat 3 top class players could be bought. Marek Hamsik, a good goalscoring midfielder for 30 million. Villa for 40 million. Whoever else to play on the left. Easily attainable, but unfortunately all revenues are paying for the Glazer's to buy the club, sickening twats.

What annoys me is that due to the financial climate and the amount of fans who have/are willing to walk away from the club (I have stopped going now and haven't been at all in the last two seasons) they don't stand to make any money in reality out of the club, yet are totally unwilling to offers which could potentially get them out of the mess they are in and give them a quick (if smaller than planned) profit ?

How we've still managed to compete over the last few years is purely down to Fergie and if he goes and they are still in charge then I fear quite a lot for us. Fergie/Rooney are two HUGE draws to our club and if Fergie leaves we'll be in a mess

I'd be disappointed if Milner signed for you lot as well :-(

Another lifelong Leeds fan selling his soul to the devil. Though in fairness, at least Milner didn't kiss the Leeds badge every 7 seconds and go on national TV saying he'd never sign for Man Utd.

I think (leaving all that aside) he'd be a great signing. He's a better player than either Carrick, Scholes or Gibson.

    50/50 for me...

Taylor and Dirrell showed that Froch can be out-boxed but the Ward defeat may have left Kessler feeling very unconfident. Both guys, however, need to improve, big time, upon their 1st stage perfomances.

I can only see froch winning 1 in 3 with kessler, 1 in 4 at best in Denmark so 25%. Anything can happen and I like Froch, he may have a better chance if Ward has softened Kessler up but dont see it!!

    Heres to hoping im wrong!

Bit of a throwback fight imo, 50/50 fight with no backward steps taken, looking forward to it.
