I rate it highly, he's only been on the canvas against above average punchers and don't recall the last time he was actually hurt.

He's accustomed to visiting the canvas, but hey.. the man always gets up. And always recover quickly.

I'd say his chin is strong.

I rate his chin highly. He likes to hit the canvas, but his recovery, and ability to take the shots and come back is incredible.

People seem to confuse his chin with his heart, his chin is bad but not glass, his heart is huge.

    Average to solid.

Prone to knockdowns, but not susceptible to being knocked out.

Same as Calzaghe, Trinidad, Hamed etc.

I think it is solid. He has never been stopped, even though he has been on the canvas a few times and absorbed some big shots in his career. I think his heart, will, and toughness make what some would otherwise label a glassyish chin, a strong one.

Just average. He visits the canvas as much time as Obama visits the White House.

Solid. He gets knocked down against (mostly) ATG guys, but always gets up, and fights even harder and better.

I went with solid. Never been KO'd, been knocked down but I don't think I've ever seen him super glassy eyed on ***** street and he's taken some flush shots from some big punchers as well as been hit with sneaky shots that he didn't see coming.

he seems to get flash ko'd alot

iv never seen him go down and have that lost look in hes eyes like he doesen know where he is.

half the time he just has this blank expression on hes face almost dissopointed with himself that he let such a punchfloor him

but he always gets back up and becomes better

we seen this during pacquiao and katsidis

JMM has a great chin. He visits the canvas alot because he has somewhat weak and skinny legs and below average footwork and foot positioning.

Average? Sorry, but if you get knocked down by an explosive puncher in Pacquiao 3 times in the 1st round...and still get up fighting, your chin is more than average. Heart can only get you so far. When he gets hit hard and clean, he tends to go horizontal...but his ability to take that shot and recover quickly shows to me that he has more than an average chin.

his heart and recovery is amazing, that I agree. But when you get knocked down often by shots to the chin, surely you'd have to question the chin, unless you attribute the KDs to something else, which you can also do for all other boxers who have been called glass jaws.
