I heard this guys name a few times but the first time I sat up and noticed him was the pre fight presser vs soto karass, the dude was real down to earth and sounded supremely confident in his abilty in that interview and performed well in the fight.I was impressed but im just wondering right now where does he rank ability wise to you guys? I hope he is the real deal personally cos welterweight needs a new killer in the division, most ppl thought lucas was supposed to be the one who went to 147 killing guys after beating Danny Garcia but his career has taken a step back instead. (if he fights broner I hope it called one time at bandcamp)
He doesnt have the chin to unload like he does.. with his hands down the way he does. He will be fun to watch, he will knock some guys out... but eventually he will fight someone who is hard to hit and has a solid chin.. then he will be beaten.
I like his body of work so far in his career progression. Was ringside for the Zaveck, and damn those body punches were brutal. Soto Karass fight, I thought he was excellent. One thing I noticed, is he bleeds rather easy.
Against Soto Karass, Thurman had enough of a lead on the cards that he could've coasted the last few rounds and won on points. Before the fight, Thurman said that he wanted the KO and he went for it. I like that sh*t.
I saw Soto Karras hurt him early and would like to see a more talented puncher land that same shot on that mandible before I anoint anyone
He looks like a great talent. Hard puncher and not a bad boxer. Think he will be a difficult fight for nearly anyone around WW.
Future of the division and mayweather's bullit. He got ****y against Soto-Karass but handled his fu.ck up properly. He has a good killer instinct, confidence and the humility to learn from his mistakes. He's got what it takes.
