We all know he BEAT Couture in the first fight.. In his prime he was a good fighter with brutal low kicks, and heavy hands, not an ATG but a legend of the sport with several great wins and one of the originals. These days however he's been getting brutally KO'd left and right and seriously needs to retire.

Officially? Yes, probably... But unofficially he was champion in the eyes of most knowledgeable MMA fans. He definitely deserved the nod over Couture in their 1st fight.

    Tough as hell
    Crazy power in hands
    Class act
Even if hes past prime i think he as a place with the greats at heavyweight
he fought alot of very good guys, too bad he wasnt able to get a belt
The lost to couture was a joke, even randy thought he lost
not as bad as randelman/Rutten but pretty bad

Never evolved his game, and got left behind once a new generation appeared.

Today he stands as a bum that squares off with other bums.

I bet you think Fedor is a "bum" as well, Also I bet you went along with the Brock hype

Today he's a guy that's long past his prime, and needs to retire.

i still think he could have beaten randleman but i guess the hype was just too much for rizzo and he just froze kinda like how bj penn froze against pulver

Fedor is a bum, and for the same reason as to why he went out fighting bums. For years he avoided the best HWs in the world, that Brock hype was very real. We saw what Brown Pride did to Brock and Antonio Silva.......

So I doubt Fedor could have even earned a title shot.
