Was than an impressive win against a solid heavyweight, a simple mauling of a tomato can, or something in between?
Solid win... I'd say something in between. Charr is not as bad as many say he is, but he isn't as good as some claim either. He's certainly no bum...
I thought he did pretty well. And the KO looked like it came out of one of the Rocky movies. Even Charr's facial expression was of cinematic quality.
Good come back win and shattered what i thought was a solid chin. A nice showing of Povetkins skills and talent when in shape. Bring on a Huck rematch. Pov by stoppage!
All things considered on a scale of 10, I would give it a 5. Charr looked mediocre. Povetkin should have taken him out sooner, but at least he did take him out.
I would have preferred to vote "he looked good, but Charr is a bum". Charr has had his moments but was visibly out of shape in this fight.
Solid win. Hopefully more heavies follow suit and start fighting each other again. Interested in seeing Povetkin's next fight now. Although it won't happen I think a fight between him and Stiverne would be tremendous fun.
We've seen some pretty competitive match ups(on paper at least) this year. Honestly, so far a great year for the division. Lots of great matchmaking and exciting fights, the best year for the heavyweight division in a long time ALREADY and we aren't even half way through!
