Mike got caught by an uppercut early and I am not sure Rooney told him to throw with bad intentions loud enough. Thoughts?
It's not clear that Tyson ever fully trusted or embraced Rooney. Kevin was the remaining familiar person of the Cus D'mato era, but no subsitute in Mikes eye for the old trainer and philosopher. Rooney still knew the D'Mato method of training and fighting that suited Mike the best. It's not to hard to understand that the much taller Tucker would use uppercuts against Mike. But that one good shot was among the very few moments of success for Tony that night. Until their own personal problems caused them to split, Rooney was a good trainer for Mike.
