Hill looked washed up vs. Michalczewski. Michalczewski may have gotten away with some "rough" tactics but I didn't think the fight was close at all. In all honesty I think Hill was really having a hard time making LHW at this point.

Hill beat Maske by SD about 7 months before facing Michalczeski. That should have been his last fight at LHW.

Hill lost to Michalczewski then about a year later he fought Jones. It was a non-title fight and Hill wasn't considered much of a threat at this point.

Hill's next fight was at CW (6 1/2 months later) and he never fought at LHW again. He did pretty well at CW.

I don't give Jones too much credit for this win. With that said, I thought Hill fought pretty well up until the KO. The body shot was very good... maybe he could have landed it vs. a prime Hill, maybe not? Maybe he could have landed it vs. a non weight-drained CW version of Hill, maybe not? If they fought 10 more times Jones probably wouldn't have landed that shot again... but it was a good shot.

Prime vs. prime? Who knows? Hill has a legit chance though.

I will never forget that vicious body punch he put Hill down with.

Terrific example of Jones prowess, in addition to great win.

To place a rib-breaking killshot on a boxer of Hills calibre and follow through with landing it is incredible.

Jones was a far better fighter and light heavyweight than Hill, period ... Hills was a non-threatening style for Jones as he was a one armed guy with little power ... still, Hill has talented, tough and had heart ... I think the KO was a fluke and if they fought another ten times Jones wins all by decision ..
