How do you rate Tarver?

Obviously a fringe contender, which is sad. The guy has fought six times and five years and is for the most part a career light heavyweight. Did i mention hes 46? :-(

 

Tarver looks like he's 25 years old.

 

AT is a drug cheat.

 

He's a top 10 heavyweight. Just go look at his ranking. Can you find 10 guys who can beat him?

 

Should be fighting at cruiserweight.

 

He looked pretty good beating up a trainer, put him in with Arreola next and let's see what happens.

 

No money here for a 46 year old looking to cash out.

 

There are definitely 10 guys that are capable and most of them would probably be favorites against him. He looked good for his age, but Banks hasn't thrown a punch since he accidentally knocked out Seth Mitchell.

Don't get me wrong. He's certainly a contender in the division but let's not get carried away. He looked every bit of 46, it's just banks looks 106

Yet another edit - With the right matchmaking he can certainly warrant a title shot in someone's organization. He was already number 10 in the WBA, so he could be a mandatory there already. Playing fantasy matchmaker he could beat De Mori, Browne, or Wilder and begin to justify it. The way he was talking, it seems more likely he would try to get higher ranked in the WBC, but in a way unless he goes right to Wilder (Win or lose vs. Stiverne) it seems he'd have a harder path to get a title shot as the rankings wouldn't favor him.

 

I Throughly enjoyed the beating he gave Danny Green.

 

still crafty enough of a southpaw to beat a few guys and has some power, stopping Banks gets him another Big fight Cunningham? or another top 10 guy that needs a fight but Tarver has some experience so not an easy fight. I cant see him beating a young guy with power
