    Let's say, Foreman & Shavers power rates at 10, Zuri Lawrence ( http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=15802&cat=boxer ) - 1

In this case, I rate Valuev's punching power at 3, since he failed to stop or even knock down such glass-jawed guys as:
    - Youri Elistratov http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=7722&cat=boxer
    - Toakipa Tasefa http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=16136&cat=boxer
    - Pedro Daniel Franco http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=6771&cat=boxer .

Bob Mirovic, Taras Bidenko, Serguei Liakhovich and J-F Bergeron took all his best punches without going down, and they don't have Geogre Shuvalo's type of chin either.

Don't forget that as such a big man he's slow and easier to see coming, that has to figure in to whether he KOs someone or not. Gotta hit 'em and in his case gotta hit them at the right distance to really get the KO. He probably hits pretty hard in a pure sense, but getting it right when in the ring is a huge challenge for him.

Exactly, with bigger fighters its easier to see the shots comming but Valuev is just garbage anyways.

The guy does not even deserve credit for being a belt holder. Cant be called a champion. For the obvious reasons of size and weight power and Valuev should not be mentioned in the same sentence

Considering his size, he gets a 1.

It's a little bit underrated at this point. I am sure that Valuev has power. What he lacks is explosiveness.

Some of you are unfair to him, he blasted Monte Barret, KO3 Owen Beck, broke the jaw of Paolo Vidoz and got some first round knockouts. When he commits he does have pretty good power, the thing is that he cant afford to commit because he would ran out of stamina so he has to pace himself.

Valuev's power is a 4 IMO...At what point I actually thought this guy was gonna be a threat to some of the better HW's in the division...He is garbage and his power is a d- in my book!

    Exactly.

At 325 and with his height he should be destroying people and have a super high KO rate. The man slaps more than Joe Calzaghe.
