How do you rate your own boxing knowledge?

Out of that lot, probably a 3.

The heavyweights are very much my specialist subject though. Outside that division, I'm much more hazy on details. I've been watching boxing since '89 but through think and thin it's been the 'glamour division' I've stuck with.

 

I have followed boxing ,read and watched fights since the old Blackhawk films in Super 8mm,thats going back over 50 years I boxed a bit and did some "extracurricular ",my weakest area would be current fights I think ,.I will refrain from rating myself ,that's up to others ,and a personal opinion.But there are some very good posters on here ,a couple of them quite young ones which is encouraging I feel.

I have alot of knowledge in certain areas, pretty poor in others. I have been spending alot of time lately studying fighters records and watching their fights, can never get enough of learning about boxing.

 

I'd love that collection. That's very impressive. Storage has to be a ***** though, eh?

 

It's my missus thats the problem, moaning about them. I've got some great programmes as well going back to the 40's such as Turpin-Robinson 1 and 2.
The last night at Harringay signed by all the guests. Baer, Armstrong,Lesnevich etc. I've got a few of those 8mm films as well.

 

Insured them?

 

Haven't as it happens. maybe I should look into it.
