How do you really feel about Miguel Cotto???

I dont think he is finished either, their is still a good few fights for him that would get alot of interest, like berto or try and gain another 154 belt. The rematch with Marg is always an option too, although i think he should get a few more wins first to regain some confidence before fighting marg again.

 

i think he still has it.

towards the end of his 140 reign he started looking chinny and even got wobbled by paulie in their fight.

he then moved up to WW and became a beast.toward the end of his 147 reign he started looking chinny.

he then moved upto LMW and i believe he is a beast again, he just has a **** nutritionist who doesnt tell him the correct time to move up.

all his future fights should be at 154. including any fture showdon with floyd if by some chance that fight comes off.

i would fancy him vs williams, ut as for kirkland, well that guy reminds me of prime tyson.

 

I think he has a lot left. I'd like to see a rematch with Manny Pacquiao. I'm convinced that he can outbox him. If he can manage to beat Pacquiao his confidence would be restored and he could continue fighting at the elite level.

 

cotto before margo vs the floyd who beat hatton. that would have been brilliant. it is a shame neither cotto nor floyd never pushed for the fight.

 

I think he should whoop Berto. Then whoop margariTOE after emmanuel dapidran whoops him.

 

I think he beats Williams, Martinez, or anybody else at 154 including Margarito. I believe his "decline" is grossly overstated mainly by Pacquiao detractors. I still believe he could give Mayweather hell at WW.

 

i agree with the bs about his decline. he is pac's best victory imo.

however i feel he has no business fighting at 147 anymore. should stick to 154 now.

 

He beats anyone that doesn't go toe to toe and outhustle him. Williams would probably beat him but besides the obvious choices of Mayweather and Pac at 147 and at 154 Williams and maybe Kirkland (although his inexperience could favour Cotto) I think you'd be hard pressed to make Cotto an underdog against anyone else at 147-154

 

He's a very good boxer. Who is enjoyable to watch. He has some good wins including his last win over Yuri Foreman. However he is not nor has he ever been elite.
He is more deserving of a big fight than Margraito is.

 

Even at his best he wasn't an upper elite fighter. A very very good but not great boxer. add in the battle damage and he won't be beating any elite fighters again in his career. He will score some good wins and lost again next time he steps up to the big time.

 

Cotto's a good fighter that makes the sport better by giving fans good fights and compelling matchups (even if they are forced upon him). There's really nothing flashy or truly remarkable about his game, but he's solid in a good amount of aread (not good defensively tho).... I think he has some good fights left in him and can add a few more quality names to his resume, so long as he's not fighting Pac, Floyd, Martinez, P-Will, or Angulo. Guys like Berto he can definitely beat.

Not my favorite, but definitely somebody I support and enjoy watching...I think the boxing world will miss him when he calls it quits.

 

I think he looks confident, relaxed, and pretty sharp at154.
the power difference was pretty evident right off the bat against foreman.
