Have you seen the fight? Corley had him out on his feet at one point.

Been thinking about this myself, and I think it has all the makings for an absolute classic.

People consistently overlook Cotto, the guy is pure class. Canelo probably has the edge in speed, but it would be no Pacquiao v. Cotto scenario, Cotto was sharp and fast against Floyd let's remember.

Also, people are mentioning how Canelo walks people down. Walking down Matt Hatton, Lopez or Cintron is totally different to walking down Miguel Cotto. Cotto can box superbly on the back foot, he can go to war, and he can punch.

When is the last time Canelo shipped a big shot? Because trust me, against Cotto he'd ship plenty. Canelo, for all his skills, is guilty of punching with his chin in the air, and pulling his right hand back to put power on it. Imagine the very real possibility of Cotto timing a left hook on Canelo's jab? That would put the young lad on ***** street I reckon.

Will Canelo be so anxious to walk down Cotto after he tastes his power and accuracy? I doubt it. We don't know if Canelo has a Margarito-esque chin, but I doubt it. And he sure as hell doesn't have a Mayweather defense.

Bottom line, Canelo gets tagged, and he gets hurt in this fight. Does that mean he doesn't win? Not necessarily, but it means this is a close, action packed fight.

I love Cotto, but Canelo is just too much physically and beats the **** out of him at this point, IMO.

I'm starting to think Canelo wears him down while behind on the cards. Cotto's one of my favorites, but I think Canelo's size, strength, combination punching, and explosive power gets the job done over Cotto's boxing skills, movement, jab, and his own solid offense.

Canelo's growing on me and he will continue to get better. Cotto's boxing skills and fundamentals are as good as ever, but he's shopworn and physically past his prime.

Canelo looks too big and strong for Cotto. Those body punches from Canelo will definitely stop Cotto.

Canelo has some real power and speed and is completely fresh. I think he wins the fight, and possibly even stops Cotto at this point. Even though we are still waiting to really see Canelo step it up in class, he's ready for it as he ever will be, and if this fight is to come off, I think he will prove it.

Good thing Cotto(e) has a good jab and his new founded fleet footedness. Alvarez is a hooker who can be hooked with.

Control of distance is the most important aspect of this fight. If it's contested at closer ranges, it'll be a longer night for Miguel.

It'll be competitive enough to have a rematch imo
