    With Cotto on his knees.

He was almost KTFO by Chop Chop, and almost KTFO by Torres. Two journey men.

Hardly a TERMINATOR. In fact, Cotto's competition at 140 was weak.

    Ends the Canelo Hype train.

Cotto would dictate with his jab, and that's how you beat Canelo, you double your jab and don't allow him to decide what happens and when.

I don't see it happening. Canelo has yet to fight a decent 154 pounder.

There's no way GBP takes him all the way from 140 pound Lopez to Cotto in one fight, is there?

None. We're more likely to see Mayorga next.

They could give him something light that's actually a 154 pounder in between. Saul vs Kirkland

Isal let's put aside the pride and stick to the facts while I'd agree there's a good possibility Canelo stops cotto in an epic bout your stretching it a bit with the comparisons. Just like Canelo Cotto was also quite drained during his last fights at jrww yet he managed to truly mangle the future and former champs he faced then, Canelo had his world rocked by a average banger that campaigned at 135lbs in cotto's brother I mean why overlook that and chastise junto?

Kirkand or K9 are both 154, but neither prepare him for Cotto. His best preparation would be to fight Lara, who also uses a jab and footwork.

Unless Canelo faces somebody decent in December, I just don't see GBP taking him all the way from the kiddie pool to the deep end.

It would be Epic!!! Both guys go down, both bloody, rematch for sure. I think canelo gets brave and goes in swinging like he does and Cotto hits him with some brutal stuff. I can see Canelo going down from a body shot. I say Cotto or Canelo in a SD, rematch for sure.

the fight makes me think that canelo will ko cotto but that fight he was made to look good against the warrior josesito. He has his defensive flaws as does cotto, but cotto has the better footwork. Although im having a hard time picturing cotto take canelo's shots.

    Good post:good
I have a feeling this fight will happen around may next year if Cotto wins in December.
Imagine it at MSG, cinco de mayo, with all the Mexican fans and all the puerto rican fans. It would be the greatest atmosphere ever

It would be close but I think, at the moment, Canelo would most likely emerge victorious. I think Cotto is past his best, Canelo is naturally bigger and could potentially stop Cotto in later rounds or win via cuts/TKO. Of course Cotto could win via the same way, Canelo is still untested at the level, but if I had a free bet to put on one of them I would put it on Canelo.

Of course it depends what they do in their next fights also
