Then again, who the fk are you? I am not a newbie in terms of boxing knowledge because I follow the sport closely since 20 years and I have already posted on the ESB a couple years ago. Anyway, you seem to be good at posting ridcoulous smileys and nothing else.

    - Lennox was the agressor. He was the guy pressuring and moving forward with his jab which was the plan set out by Emanuel Steward. Vitali tried to box more and was backing up.

    - Haye is IMO more skilled than Vitali.Vitali is a guy who uses his height to his advantage but is not as skilled as the Hayemaker.

Vitali is the favorite to win by KO, but Haye has the speed to trouble Klitschko....plus Vitali is getting older an his reflexes are not the same.

This fight is not as clear cut as some people may think

Lennox was the aggressor ? Only in spurts, and only in few rounds. The rest was Vitali jabbing Lewis until his face was visibly puffed up, courtesy of connecting punches instead of a forehead causing cuts. Lewis had his moments with TWO big uppercuts landing, and a couple of rushes that had Vitali clinching. What do you think he won 4 rounds for ?

The fight is on youtube numerous times, so it's absolutely easy to review it in case the memory fails, courtesy of the rosecolored glasses for Klitschko opponents and the dark smeared ones for the Klitschkos themselves.

In the end, it all comes down to how much _exactly_ Vitali has slowed down. He had a bit of problems to adjust to Gomez for a couple of rounds, that may happen same with Haye. We will know for sure only come fightnight.

Haya has just 23 fights, two of them at HW, two title fights, one embarassing KO loss.

Vitali won all of his first 23 fights by KO at HW. He would absolutely beat the **** out of anyone Haye ever beat. Numerous fighters in Vitali's record might give Haye problems, Larry Donald, Herbie Hide, Corrie Sanders, Kirk Johnson, Danny Williams, maybe even Gomez.

The two are on different levels. Watch Haye against Fragomeni and Mormeck again and tell me where that blazing speed is to be seen? Good handspeed, but also a lot of standing around, using a height and reach advantage. Footwork only in short flashes, nothing to suggest Haye is able to move constantly and get in and out against a much bigger, stronger fighter.

20 years huh? Very impressive. I'm 42 & I've been a fan of boxing since I was about 5 so do the math and you'll get approx. twice what you got there chester.

In no way was Leiws the only aggressor & Vitali wasn't backing up much if at all. Quite in fact Vitali was beating Lewis to the punch for the opening rounds....................

For the record Lewis is far more talented than Haye & so is Vitali. VK is the best current Heavyweight when considering counterpunching & accuracy & he has the best KO% which spells doom for your boy the Hayefaker.

Good post. In my opinion Gomez is a more skilled boxer than Haye although I'd give the power edge to haye.

Lennox Lewis stepped forward behind his jab, he kept coming forward and backed up Vitali up at times. Vitali did not run but circled but LL was the agressor. To me, agressor means, the guy coming forward.

If Vitali were of the same height as Haye, his lean back and counter tricks would not work. You see, what happened when he fought a big man in LL, he could not get away from the jab by leaning back.

Oh, how hilarious would it be if Haye did not last as long as Danny Williams? The Brits here would never live that down.:rofl

BTW, I don't think he does. I would not be shocked to see it look just like Vitali vs Herbie Hide.

I doubt the that the key to beat Vitali is by moving in and out. In my mind you have to back him up in order to beat him because he does not fight too well going backwards.

As you stated, the facts speak for vitali. But Haye is a brilliant bpxer who is more skilled. But it won't be enough, I predict that Vitalis' chin and toughness will eventually prevail.

What about not just watching the first 10 seconds of each round when Lennox tried to blitz Klitschko, but the entire round ? Just watch the god damned clip, then further talk isn't necessary:

However, Haye doesn't even have nearly the size to do the same. He needs to do a Chambers vs. Dimitrenko, but with a MUCH harder opponent ...

What's Haye going to do use a step ladder and a baseball bat to back him up? If arguably the hardest hitting heavyweight in the last 30 years could barely back him up how is Haye supposed to do it? Mind you Vitali has already shown he has a world class chin. I've been watching boxing for about 25 years and I've never seen anyone take a shot like that uppercut Lennox landed on him and stay standing. That shot would have ended Haye's career.

I just rewatched the first two rounds again of Klitschko/Lewis, thank you K-Man, and I'm convinced there's no way Haye makes it out of the 2nd round if that Vitali shows up.
