When the two first met, clear lines were drawn- Pac the agressive come forward fighter and Marquez the tactician.

As of late, Pac has shown more boxing skills and Marquez has shown a tendency to mix it up a little more. This adds an interesting twist to the rematch.

Do you think we will continue to see this trend, or that in the midst of battle each will revert to what they are?

Pac-Man's fighting style is hard to counter because he is fast and comes at you throwing a lot of punches. Marquez on the other hand is a very good all around fighter and he will have problems at the beginning of the fight cause of Pacquiao's unpredictable moves. I believe this fight is going 12 rds. if Marquez does make adjustments he will win a UD, who knows? both are GREAT

For this fight i dont think Marquez will be wanting to trade openly with Pac. He just started doing that to become more crowd pleasing but now that he is and got the fight with Pac he is gonna go back to doing what he does best and counter. It would be suicide to trade with Pac at this stage of his career.

I dont think Pac should try to box with JMM. It mighta worked against an old scared Barrera but it wont against JMM since he is a better boxer and wont be scared.

I have been watching fights of Marquez lately.

THAT UPPERCUT IS AMAZING. he will jump in throwing uppercuts with both hands from long range. most people that try that look like idiots.
I think its safe to say he is the only fighter that can throw uppercuts like that.

I expect JMM to box the pants off of Pac early to mid rounds.
I believe the final quarter of the fight will have JMM pushing the accelerator and leaving zero doubts.......
.....if Pac elects to keep the pace with JMM in those late rounds, expect a stoppage win for JMM, if not a clear and UD for JMM!

Every time that Pac lowers his torso to throw a body shot, as Pac fans are expecting.....look for JMM to straighten him up with one of his patented uppercuts!

    No doubt Saul!:good

Marquez did a good job avoiding Pac's left in the first fight, but Pac's got a decent right now that can make a respectable jab and vicious hook.

If Marquez fights the same way he did the past 2 years, hes going to get TKO'd. If he fights on his backfoot the whole way, he can get a decision.
But JMM's chin isnt something to be proud of, I believe if 1 Pac flush straight left lands he'll be ready for the kill.

I've lived in Los Angeles California all my life........

.......I've got most of JMM's post Freddie Norwood fights.
I watched and followed JMM from way before then when he and MAB were fighting at the Forum in Inglewood under the banner of Forum boxing.......Every fight out of the Forum was televised.
I kick myself now for not recording their fights back then!

Unfortunately my collection that dates to the 80's is all on VHS.

I just recently bought a DVD recorder to replace my VCR!

.....and with an outdated computer that does'nt burn DVD's.
I dont have the means to tranfer my VHS collection to my computer.

I am currently shopping and will buy an updated computer with a media center......when I do, Im going to slowly sort out my extensive VHS collection (which will take time) and hopefully tranfer alot of it to my computer and onto DVD format.

When the time comes, I will gladly share alot of my collection with my fellow ESB members!:good

The biggest asset is skill, and the ability to use all the physical assets you speak of to their benefit.

The assets you name pac may have a edge by a small margin, but the margin of skill level and the ability to use them to their advantage is what separates JMM from Pac.

Btw, power in both hands???? I think thats more than overhyping Pac.

I believe if you were to say power in both hands, that edge would clearly go to JMM. He uses both his hands equally and he hits just as hard equally with both.

Ability to box, to adjust, to improvise, to set traps, to angle, to feint, to parry, to defend, punch repertoire, and to schoooooooooool!!!:yep

    I think we're getting the picture!:deal :bbb
