How do you see Spence's chances against these guys at 154?

Tony Harrison, Erislandy Lara, Brian Castano, Jermell Charlo, Jarrett Hurd, Jaime Munguia.

I think once he gets accustomed to 154, he beats the first 4.

Hurd and Munguia would be interesting fights. Those guys are just huge. I think Spence outpoints them with a defense-first type of fight on the backfoot for the first 6 rounds and then finishing strong late. Kind of like what he did vs Brook until the stoppage.

    Thoughts?

The only one Spence beats is Munguia.

I think he potentially beats all, ppossibly with relative ease, but I think Mungia and Hurd are his easiest fights and Lara and Castano his most difficult matchup.

ESJ is too sharp, skilled, athletic, accurate, layered, smart, fundamentally great and tight, and powerful for those two. Anyone who goes out there and leaaves their chin hanging in the air unprotected and untucked without even thinking to bring their hands back and form some sort of a guard are tailor made for Spence, especially when they dont have the reflexes or head/upper body movement to at least slightly roll with a punch to take even a little steam off it.

I think ESJ pieces up and sparks out both Mungia and Hurd. And I like both Mungia and Hurd. I think Hurd and Mungia could still go on to have productive and good careers afterwards, and I even think ESJ KO'ing Munguia could actually make him a better fighter and in turn steer him towards reachind and realizing his vast potential. Unfortunately I think it's too late for Hurd to learn to fight any other way but thankfully for him I think ESJ is the only guy at 154 that is totally capable of taking him out, maybe Munguia -- but thats it.

Spence is still a "large WW"....kinda of tweener right now.

He needs to test the waters against real JrMW's before formally moving up.

Harrison a little bit too big, he edges Spence on points. I think Spence is a slightly better boxer than Harrison but Harrison's physical advantages will help him to combat Spence's aggression. Lara is a very interesting matchup. That's a more even fight, cause I expect Spence to be similar in size to him. Again a decision, but in favour of Spence by one or two rounds.

Think he beats Castano pretty easily since Spence actually has some minor physical advantages in that one. Maybe a late stoppage there. Charlo he wouldn't do cause they are friends but I expect Spence to school him. He knows Charlo's strengths and weaknesses inside out cause he's sparred with him loads. The Charlo's have fed off Spence's success. Master beats Apprentice.. on points.

He certainly loses to Hurd though, too big too strong and is very good at 154 to start off with. I actually think Hurd completely dominates Spence and puts that fishy chin to the canvas in the mid rounds. Don't think he actually stops Spence though, just busts him up. Munguia is an interesting one. Spence has a chance of bagging rounds early on due to experience but the later the fight goes the more Munguia imposes himself and overwhelms Spence. Munguia on a close decision I think.

Lots of those guys will be at 160 by the time Spence gets to 154, Munguia and Hurd before the end of the year. Spence vs Madrimov could be THE fight at 154, would be damn brutal.

Hurd is a punching bag with no movement. And an arm puncher to boot. He's just big, that's all.

Tony Harrison - to slick for spence and is a big dude
Erislandy Lara - Close fight but Lara can punch and is skilled a 60/40 for Lara win
Brian Castano - Beat spence in younger boxing years has welcomed Spence slight favourite spence in this one.
    Jermell Charlo - Wont happen
Jarrett Hurd - Spence get beat down in this one, cant see him bully Hurd and take the pressure
Jaime Munguia - Again this is to close i actually think Munguia is better than people think. A 50/50 with spence.

Jerred Hurd and Munguia are bags of potatoes with arms , only power and the advantage of size but nothing more ...Victory for Spence.
Lara vs Spence : victory for Spence and by Ko
Charlo ,Harrison and Castaño : this fights are interesting , this three have skills and i hear that castano defeat Spence in the amateur .....very close fights.

Another good fights in the 154 : Spence vs Lubin - Spence vs Adames - Spence vs Kuranov.
