til theres an undisputed champ? what are your predicitions on how it will eventually lead to all 3 or 4 belts being unified? Chagaev/Ibragimov= WBO/IBF champion Peter/Maskaev= WBC champion Wladimir Klitschko= IBF champion who will fight who?
Having Vitali thrown back in the mix kind of ****s up everything since he will probably get a shot at the WBC. Our only hope is to have the winner of Chagaev vs Ibragimov fight Wlad next.
Well Chagaev-Ibragimov will unify the WBO/WBA titles which is a great start. Since Wlad has already had his mandatory with Brewster (IBF declared it a mandatory), he could probably have a tune-up fight around the same time of Chagaev-Ibragimov and then fight the winner. The WBC is simply just ****ed up, need to get the winner of Maskaev-Peter..then that winner has to fight V. Klit (if he beats McCline which he will),..then that winner has to fight mandatory McCall (if he is still the mandatory).
Exactly as I see it. The new WBA WBO titleholder will probably avoid Wlad if its Chagaev, cause Universum, who controls Chagaev and used to control the K bros, apparently had a big fallout with the K bros, and I don't think we'll see Universum give Wlad, who would be favored, a shot at their new two title holding champion. But I may be wrong. If Sultan wins both titles, I think he and his promoter would be the most willing to unfiy with Wlad. The WBC is so tied up with mandatroy obligations (Peter, then Vitali, then McCall) that I don't see that title being involved in any unification, in the next year tor two. They have appointed too many mandatories, and are too occupied with that.
Noone acknowledges the regular and super champs, as its pure nonsense that we don't need, especially at this time in heavyweight boxing. Each org has ONE title, as far as most fight fans are concerned. Tht reguler champion crap only complicates things further, and for no reason, whatsoever, than to get these greedy orgs more fees, and such.
