I know this is not the training forum but, I figure you gentlemen have seen every type of fighter, and done enough analysis to know how certain fighters set up that death blow to the liver. What are some of the ways you have seen it done, I would like to know, my sister has it coming to her.

The key is to step forward and to the left, IMO. The way to really crank a shot to the liver is to get really far to the left and in close and then whip it straight in from the side.

That's what Hopkins did against DLH.

.............Best way I've seen it done is just the real simple jab-straight right, left hook to the liver. Finish up the combination with it.

    Yep, easiest way.

Watch Gerald McClellan vs Jay Bell, it will only take you 15 seconds. :!:

Excellent question, they would either have to switch hit, be fighting another southpaw, or square up whilst infighting

You shoot a 1-2 combo, making sure you turn over the right hand good(orthodox fighter) then with knees slightly bent, come up and under with your left hook underneath. Just behind their elbow.

As an aside, funny you really don't see southpaws getting taken down with liver shots, as they should be more prone to it against an orthodox throwing a left hook. Then again there a few of them that make it to the spotlight, guess those that do are aware of it.
