How do you think Bruno would have done against the Klits?

How well do you think Bruno would have done if he was trained by Manny Steward?

 

I'm not sure a 1997 Steward trained Lewis is much worse a matchup for Bruno than the 1993 gunslinger was to be honest.

Obviously Lewis was at his absolute peak as a fighter, but would give the more robotic Bruno more opportunities to pick his punches and take breathers.

Lewis would still win by KO....

 

Lennox Lewis was not being outclassed by Frank Bruno one little bit, Bruno was getting the slight edge...but Lennox Lewis was going through the gears...........

 

I'm sure he would have had a lot of success. Considering how Steward has made Lewis and the Klits so successful and with Bruno having the same physical attributes and a very good jab. He would still have got bulldozed by Tyson though.

 

Interesting one.... although nobody in the classic forum thought so when I started a thread about it there and only got one comment.... oh sorry did I say ONE? I meant to say NONE!!!

Anyway, I think Bruno had the reach, power and heart to beat Wlad, although in the case of Vitali I think it would come down to whoever tires out the most in the quickest amount of time loses. I could see a stoppage coming anywhere between rounds 7-10. And that's for either fighter as I already mentioned.

 

I'd be happy to put a bet on Bruno to beat either of them!

 

I'd favour him slightly against Wlad.

A Herculean effort would be required to beat Vitali. I think Vitali shows his mettle and dominates from the 6th onwards, getting Frank out in the championship rounds.

He'd have a much better chance at consistent success today IMO.

 

Thread is so delusional....You know when you watch Bruno's fights on youtube? They're not in slow motion. That's the speed he fought at!

You do know that there was boxing before 2000 don't you. Its ok. You can criticise the Klits you know. You come across as another cheerleading fan rather than a boxing fan. Bruno was a very good fighter. His jab was awesome and he could dig. Don't dismiss him because of clips you've seen on youtube. Jeez

 

I'd fancy him over Wlad, I think he'd land something early that would shatter Wlad's chin.

Vitali is a different matter. I think he'd have the chin to withstand what Bruno could throw at him and he'd comeback with some hefty blows of his own. I'd definately favour Vitali.

 

I would favour both Klitschko's over Bruno.

Whilst Bruno was a good fighter he was never the elite in the division.

He was a fighter with a great jab and great power but he was robotic as ****, even more than either Klitschko. Plus his stamina was suspect as to was his punch resistance.

I think Wlad stops Bruno in the late rounds, after survivng a scare or two.

I think Vitali too stops Bruno late whilst Bruno is on his feet taking punishment.

 

I think his chin was fine.

Plus knowing his power both brothers would be a bit tentative..... Wlad probably outpoints him but Vitali is WAY overrated on the back of a KO loss in a decent showing against Lewis (remind you of anyone?)

Granted he is/was a very good heavy, but talk of him being a legend is nonsense, his record is stick thin.

Wlad is probably 70-30 in favour of Wlad, Vitali is 60-40 at worst against Frank.
