When they fight in december, wrapped hands or not margarito has the chin, stamina, determination to keep coming for Cotto all night.
Based on how cotto has been fighting at 154 and the changes with steward do you think he will be able to pull out the decision this time? and what do you think he should do and whats the most likely scenario in your mind?
I think if cotto paces himself better, jabs and even clinches now and then he will be able to make it the distance, so no constant moving because he lacks the stamina to keep that up for 12 rounds without folding under pressure. Its smart to copy mosleys gameplan here just hit him with the jab and right hand then clinch to save energy. also target the eye that pacquiao damaged since I dont believe thats 100% healed.
I expect that Steward comes up with a good gameplan that cotto will stick to, it will be a very tough fight but in the end Cotto gets his redemption and wins a 115-113 type decision.
Also the loser of this fight should retire.

We have no idea what Margo has. All we know is Pacman put the worse beating I have ever seen on him. For all we know Margo's shell will be the only thing in the ring with Cotto that night.

When he starts feeling the heat.

    Go to the nuts.

That will give him some time to breath.

First off, i think Steward is overrated as a trainer. He is somewhat of a one trick pony as a trainer (stand tall, jab, no-inside game, etc). But yeah, the key is for him to clinch regularly. He did none of that in the first fight which really surprised me. That would've helped him somewhat. And he can't copy Mosley's game plan because he's not as strong as Mosley and can't stand Margarito up and push him back. Smart clinching will probably be the biggest factor for his chances of winning.

He doesn't. This fight will pan out the same as the first. Cotto has lost his desire imo.

I don't think Cotto will be able to survive, but if he does the only thing that might be able to help him is to adopt Mosley's gameplan to grab on for dear life anytime Margo gets close.

WOW...this is the first time I have ever seen people say this insanity!
Please explain how Cotto could have gotten through 12 rounds aganist Clottley if he lost his "desire"?

In my opinion Cotto wasnt the only man who left a lot in the ring that night in the MGM Marg took some brutal shots, then the Mosley whooping followed by Manny. Also I hear the arguement of well "Cotto couldnt hurt him anyway so it didnt matter about the wraps" which is a load of nonsense IF he was wearing them Cotto will be able to get off with 4-5 and be able to exchange more this time

That was 2 years ago bro. The Pac fight seems to have taken alot out of Cotto, the intensity isn't there anymore IMHO.

Ok well you put it like that it sounds 100x better my man. His intensity and desire are two different things. But yeah your right. Ever since Pac he doesn't go after you like he did before. He trys to box way more now.

Margo is a slow plodder with limited skill/defense. Cotto should commit to landing heavy shots while using efficient movement to befuddle Margo.

I just don't think Cotto is that hungry lion anymore. Fighting every 9 months or whatever, i thought he was going to keep fighting C level opponents. But i have to give him credit for taking this fight. Hopefully he trains his arse off and we see the Cotto of old :good
