How do you think Golovkin would have done if a MW around 1997 - 2003

It would have been interesting to have seen how GGG would have got on at MW a few years ago with Hopkins, Holmes, Joppy, Eastman, Echols, Cherifi, McCracken, Simon, Krajnc, Schenk, prime Taylor, prime Sturm to name just a few.
Do you think Golovkin would have got through all of those fighters, or do you think he would have won most and lost some. I think he would have a tough time with Hopkins and Simon.

He'd be pretty dominant still. Hopkins would obviously give him a tough night, with his constant cheating and trying to get the fight called off so it depends on how corrupt the ref is really.

Some of those predictions im not so sure about. I think Simon would be a tough fight and not sure he would be Kod, or prime Eastman.

Hopkins beats him. He beats the rest.

If you dont care, then dont post here. Either way he hasnt been able to get the bigger fights against todays fighters like Martinez, Sturm, Quillin etc

he would have done what he has done now, beaten two good opponents by the age of 33.

that basically means nothing of the calibre of Hopkins etc on his resume, and probably not enough time to land one now.

I wasnt talking about as of this minute, but over the time GGG has held the title or been involved in MW title fights. He didnt get Sturm, Martinez and hasnt had the Quillin fight. Those fights seem a bit lost now

Golovkin would lose to Hopkins, and probably lose to a young Robert Allen also. Golovkin would probably beat Joppy. A young Echols would be a pick em. People don't seem to realize how weak 160 is right now. The Pavlik that beat Taylor would beat Golovkin also.

Simon from what I see of Golovkin so far could be a pickem. All the KOs over lackluster opposition, don't erase the fact that shopworn Ouma was giving Golovkin work.

I think MW, SMW and LHW are weak compared to a few years ago at the moment

    Now after the Murray fight

I dont think Golovkin would have beaten Hopkins or Simon.

I think he would beat Eastman by being a bit busier, but not hurt him. W Joppy would have been interesting as would K Holmes, though I think Golovkin would have beat them. Prime Sturm would be a close one in my opinion and possibly one Sturm would win.

I dont think Golovkin would be a factor at all at SMW and would lose to top SMWs and be of a similar level to A Abraham who has not been able to beat top SMWs

GGG would dominate. He would crack Hopkins chin easily.
