How do you think Jermain Taylor would have fare in the super six 4-5 years back???

There were no decent fighters at super middle 5/6 year ago to make this happen but at middle he could have done well.

The same. Maybe he would have made it to the final bell and gotten a gift decision like he did against Hopkins and Wright, but that's about it. Taylor was NEVER that good - all his "wins" are either bogus gifts like those, or over washed up fighters or smaller guys moving up.

 

Just watching Hopkins against Taylor I. He even shows signs late on there that he struggles with pace of fights and sustained aggression and that's in a chess match like that...says alot imo.

 

I reckon he'd have beaten Abraham !! He'd beat Froch, i think he'd beat Kessler, as Kessler showed he cant deal with quick flashy boxing Skills (especially on a black man)!!

And i think He'd beat this inexperienced Dirrell, and probably Ward !!

So i think he'd definitely be a big favorite to win the competition

But i don't think he would have won for some reason

He beats Froch and possibly Abraham. (No way he runs out of gas that fast, or gets hit with something as stupid as he did.) Ward and Kessler beat him comprehensively. Dirrell is a coin-toss.
