I think its gonna be one helluva fight. Mayweather is more aggresive nowadays and i dont think he can use his legs as good as he used to so i epect him to walk him down. I think Cotto will be aggressive and try to bully Floyd with body shots cuz Mayweather is not as powerful as Margarito. i think they will both be going for the KO
Cotto punches mayweather in the sack to send a message right off the bat. Cotto gets deducted 2 points for it and mayweather takes it easy to try and recover for the first half but never does. Floyd is afraid to get into the inside because he fears cotto will low blow him again. Floyd potshots as much as he can followed by as much holding he can muster. Floyd thinks he did enough and hopes the 2 point deductions was a big enough safety net for the rounds he was inactive for. 114-112 Cotto 113-113 Draw 114-113 Cotto Floyd and his fans will argue he was robbed but we all know that word has no meaning here
I wouldn't expect Mayweather, even in his prime, to use his legs a ton against Cotto. I think when people see the two together come fight night, Mayweather's gonna look a lot more solid than Cotto at the higher weight. I don't think Cotto's gonna be the physically stronger one in there come May 5th. And I wouldn't be surprised if May knocks Cotto out.
Cotto with a good round 1, probably takes it. Mayweather starts to connect in round 2, still a close round to score. Mayweather stuns Cotto with a left-right combo, Cotto starts to reatreat a little. From round 4 on, Mayweather gets his hands going as he gets more and more punches thru Cotto's guard and eventually stops him by the 7th-8th round.
The first 3 or so rounds will be competitive. Floyd will adjust and exploit Cotto's weaknesses, particularly his susceptibility to the uppercut. Floyd wins a clear UD, or maybe scores a late stoppage over a fatigued and swelled up Cotto.
