How do you think old-school boxers (pre-1950s) would perform against today’s top competitors?

the best of that era...prime against prime....would beat the living hell out of today's group. an occasional exception....but generally they would whip ass.

Sugar Ray Robinson would be the welterweight champ. Probably have all KO's, and a few deaths on his resume. The **** he would do to Crawford and Spence wouldn't even be fair.

Henry Armstrong would be lightweight champ. If Lomachenko had issues with Salido, an Armstrong brought in with more refined and modern training techniques would definitely push Loma's **** in.

Sandy Saddler would be featherweight champ. What he would do to Leo Panty Cruz and lil Russell Jr., wouldn't even be pretty.

    Great stuff!
Toney one was one of the most successful counter punchers in modern game, and his defense is just this right here, nothing new.

I don`t think fighters are generally quicker today I just feel their fundamentals have evolved more.

Saddler would by far the easier task of the three, Crawford would be the best box/puncher Robi ever faced and Loma would be the most skillfull fighter Armstrong had ever faced.

'massive' is way over the top, nobody at feather would have a massive advantage over Pep, and defensively there is nobody better than Pep today at feather and Saddler would probably be a champ too because of his reach and his long armed posting defense.

Canelo wouldn`t have used feints on old time fighters because they don`t use an active guard, you keep moving either your fist, your guard or your feet before you`re punched at to keep opponents guessing and reactive, Hank is using a reactive guard he is not moving his head before the punch comes, so someone as good as Canelo is at feinting could feint making Hank weave and the throw where his head moves to.

Brown threw more consistent, better counters than Hank did here, Hank has quick head movement but doesn`t counter enough.
