Let him prove it. how many times have we showered praise on an up and coming fighter to be left with a crushing defeat by a man he was supposed to blow away, then we are left with a sad hollow feeling where our boxing superstar should be. :|
I agree! He is still unproven. If he gets past Johnson convincingly and proves his chin and will to win against Diaconu, he will have proved it in my book.:good
Well Woods has beaten Johnson already...and is soon to beat Tarver:yep , looks to me as if Clinton is a step ahead of Dawson.
Beating Hopkins and Woods wouldn't be enough for me to say: "Calzaghe is definitely the best in the division". :conf (Not while Dawson remains unbeaten...)
With any luck there will be some unifications coming up. There is a reason why Dawson/Johnson Woods/Tarver is a double header, obviously trying to hype Dawson-Tarver but i think we'll end up with Dawson-Woods. Also Erdei Vs Green has been talked about for a WBA/WBO title fight. I want to Joe to unify the 175 titles, he will retire before he doew though but I agree Hopkins isnt enough to be considered the very best at light heavy.
Erdei is finished...just doesn't want to peform against some of the best anymore...his career is over. Green will fight Mundine, if anyone... Dawson will only fight Woods after Johnson and Diaconu...so...at the end of the year. Calzaghe will be retired by then.
