Answer to OP: Ortiz CAN'T beat Floyd. Different class. Floyd beats, schools, probably embarrasses Ortiz.

 

How does a guy who quits against Tony Tucker beat Iron Mike Tyson?

 

I sure as **** don't think he lost it. I think he got timid to a bizarre degree against someone far less dangerous than Berto, considering how much better and stronger Ortiz was than Peterson, but I think he got robbed of a victory there anyway.

He posted 5 minutes after the thread was made... Since Mayweather is fighting Ortiz, he thinks Ortiz was drained and won the fight... If Pacquiao was fighting Ortiz he would be cherry picking a 140 lber who was TKO'd, had a draw, and was knocked down twice in a close win in his last 3 fights.

Lamont Peterson gave PBF hell in sparring. I remember reading the reports that he actually got the better of him during the preparations for JMM.

The camps got very heated and they kicked Peterson out of the camp. He is a decent fighter make no mistake about it.

I expect a wide UD win by Floyd but Ortiz is a dangerous boxer-puncher with decent power so I would not be surprised if he KOd Floyd in the early rounds.

Peterson's a handy fighter. I thought Bradley/Peterson was one of the better technical fights 140 has had in the past two or three years, as far as both opponents anyway. I mean, it was no classic, but pleasantly good, I thought.
