How does a prime Cotto fair against these Champions of the 90's

He loses to all ecept Tszyu and maybe quartey and Forest, Shane was not in His prime but not shot neither was beggining to decline. forest was good tall fighter but a good fighter that could cut the ring could give him problems something that Cotto is good doing, still I favor Forest but a close fight, Quartey have a superb jab but jabbers do not give Cotto problems. Cotto at welter beats Tszyu

 

Gets knocked out by almost every one and dosent win more than two rounds against Quartey and Winky.

Tszyu at his best at 140 knocks Cottos shaky chin off.

 

IMO he stands a chance vs ODLH, Tszyu, quartay and prime shane. Vernon, Winky, and Tito he probably wouldnt have fought since they were bigger welters.

think about this tho.... the only relevant opponent mosley ever TKO'd at 147 was fernando vargas.

Cotto never been TKO'd besides pac & margarito and both of those fights should have an asterix besides them. Prime cotto a better boxer than prime mosley. I'm going with Cotto TBH.


Same with ODLH. ODLH wasn't TKO'ing any world class opponents at 147. I would take prime cotto over prime oscar. Prime cotto was a monster for real.

By Prime Cotto, do you mean the one that would throw hard nut shots, whenever he was in trouble to even out the fight? He doesn't beat anyone on that list, outside of Maybe Tszyu, and that's because Tszyu wasn't a welter. Tszyu would have beaten the 140 pound version of Cotto though.

 

Sadly I think he loses all of them. Look at Cotto's resume. Who had he beaten to suggest he could hang with any of those guys?

Faded Mosley is a close as it gets.

Unfortunately he gets beaten by probably all of them. I can't see him beating these guys, most of which are tall, long, and heavy handed. I can see him giving Tszyu, Quartey, and De la Hoya problems, but he gets knocked out handily or easily out pointed by the others.

 

I don't know man Mosley had problems with guys with a great jab but that were bigger than him, Remember a much older Mosley gave a "prime" Cotto all he could handle imagine what a prime Mosley would do?
