I genuinely think Sharkey has the skills to beat all of them at his peak, but he's equally as capable of losing to all of them as well. The guy's head just tended to get screwed loose too frequently for me to make him a favourite against any of them.

I agree. Depending on the night he can either win or lose against all of them. He was a very erratic fighter

It is because he didn't knock guys out and had a defensive boxing style. Easy type to screw.

He was also referred to as the greatest boxer in the world, from the neck down. Apparently the guy used to have breakdowns before or during fights, or so I've heard.

He beats Walcott, Baer, Braddock. He décisions Rocky over ten but not 15. Not sure vs the best Charles.

I have him beating Baer and Braddock. 50/50 with J.J. Rocky a slight favorite over the long haul and getting outthought by Charles. All these being his best version on these nights.

I think he beats James J. Braddock most times and loses most times to the rest of them.

Wouldn't favor him to win any of them except maybe Walcott. But they'd all be competitive fights and he'd probably win 1 or 2.

I would make him the underdog against Marciano, a strong favorite over Braddock, and a 50/50 type proposition against the others.

He probably wins either 2 or 3.

If you gave him the benefit of the doubt he could possibly beat all bar Charles. Even on his best night though, he’d be favourite only against Baer & Braddock.
