Do you think Brewster has a shot at slowing down the mobility of Ibragimov if he can dig those hard hooks to the body?
I think it’s a bad matchup for Brewster since Igragimov had a good chin and was disciplined enough to not slug it out. Brewster would have a chance against anyone though.
Ibramigov out boxes him but Brewster has power to chage things. Would bet on Ibramigov with even odds
I have my doubts. Brewster not only got to Wlad eventually, but also wore down and stopped Krasniqi, who seemed a solid, mobile boxer with decent power and skill. Although the southpaw thing might change matters a bit, just due to the awkwardness that generates.
Krasniqi wasn’t really in the same class as Ibragimov. Wlad had already gassed against Purrity. Same issue.
Bad knees. He needs to be younger and not have all that deterioration. Some emphasis on defense wouldn't hurt either.
Was Krasniqi really that far off from Ibragimov, though? Both Olympic medalists. Krasniqi stopped Whitaker to get a shot at the WBO just like Ibragimov did. At that point, their title paths diverged because Krasniqi was up against an aggressive puncher who threw more than 20 punches a round. I agree that Ibragimov was better. But was he so much better that it stops us from drawing analogies from the Brewster/Krasniqi fight?
