How does Adrenaline affect you?

    Well, mistakes will be made no matter what happens when all is said and done as you know....to be the best you can possibly be is often what drives us to do better with each passing fight. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with being a perfectionist as such....it WILL make your experience a little less "enjoyable" so to speak, because as a perfectionist you will probably pay closer attention to what you did wrong,rather than enjoy what you did right during a fight. You may Knock a guy out cold and yet when you watch a DVD you cant help but notice that your footwork could have been better....:roll:

    If you watch your last fight on tape.take notice of the single most obvious mistake you constantly made and aim to correct that one main mistake. That gives you a specific area in particular to focus on, and you will improve in that area if you set your mind on fixing it.:good

    If you do that every single fight you will lessen the chances of looking like "rubbish" every time you step into the ring. The fact is that by eliminating repetitive mistakes, you automatically improve. :thumbsup

    cheers i always think i look crap when i fight and i know i can box alot better like im giving really good fighters fits in sparring but when i go in the ring i dont have the confidence to do my slick moves but it will only improve

    i practise on everything anyway so i dont know why im not confident but cheers for the advise real helpful hopefully boost my confidence :good

    One last thing that may just help change the way you approach your fights for the better....its only a suggestion that helped me, and i have passed on to some of my boys along the way.....some of those boys had such high expectations of themselves that it affected the way they performed, sometimes for the better....but mostly they were setting themselves up for failure and misery 90% of the time.


    As you approach your next fight, make it your aim to adopt the same attitude and approach that you go into a sparring session with, and you may just find are you capable of bringing what you can do in sparring with you into the ring as a direct result.

    This is not a "one size fits all" suggestion. What works for one may not work for another. :hat
