How does AJ expect to be sharp with 8 months out of the ring?

Lol at the excuses. How frequently do Wilder and Fury fight? Wilder had a 6 month gap before facing Brazzeale. He had an 8 month lay off after facing Fury. The fact is AJ got hit in the face and it was the end of the fight. AJ hit Ruiz with his best shots and Ruiz stood there. AJ was extremely over rated

Ideally fighters should fight every 4 months i.e. 3 times a year. They should have sufficient time to enjoy themselves as well after a fight. They are risking their lives in their and deserve to get paid life changing sums of money

Yes and let's have it right,up until recently Joshua was digging his heels in about going to the US.
I'm sure his fight with Whyte was his first past five rounds and since then in every fight he would gass badly around round five and then make a miracle recovery.Had to catch up with him sooner or later.

Wlad to this day will be regretting let AJ recover after round 5 and 6. It was Vitali who told Wlad not to go for the Kill

yes that's right it was, terrible advice as it does seem as if Joshua really panics when hurt.Had Ruiz let Joshua take rounds six and seven off like others did it may be a different story.credit for Ruiz doing his homework.
Hate to say this but I think Joshua is gonna struggle past five rounds every time.

Well Ruiz did decide to break down AJ by going to the body, he probably needed to pace himself as well after the 3rd round. But again he hit AJ in the face in round 7 and immediately pounced on him. Now that the entire world has seen how poor AJ's chin is, they are going to go for broke against him and will not let him dominate ever again.

Ruiz was active bc he just came off a fight so his training was just continued ,and in fact TEAM RUIZ said that was a major advantage being active and had just fought another big guy taller then AJ, you imbecile. Haha

If Joshua is training and is usually physically fit I think 8 months is good enough time. Joshua requires harder training to keep that much muscle mass and maintain his stamina.

If anything the time period he actual trained for he most likely took his foot off the brake then usual in Miami.

Reports of having a concussion have also surfaced which isn't really that hard to believe ,he looked like he was taking sleeping pills and still managed a early knock down.

But 8 months is fine as long as its not a habit , ,ideally he should be fighting every 6 months.

The half-wit finally finds his tongue and comes out from hiding.

Yes he continued to train yet he only had a month break between his last fight in April.

That is usually a hindrance. We now know fighters do not need long rest and big training camps to take care of your fraudulent ex plastic champion and make him quit

You should have kept that ignorant disabled gibbering gob shut to save yourself further embarrassment.

Its all about the big pay checks these days my friend. I don't know many heavyweight boxers which are doing this for the love of the game anymore. I wish we saw 4 fights a year but the training and actual fight will prove too much on the body.

I do think 2 or 3 matches per year is good. In my mind should be 3 matches if the fighter have easy night, one sided beat down and finish inside 4-5 rounds. But that also depends on the training methods. So 2 to 3 times per year is a good.
But i also think there shouldn`t be such a long break like 8 or so months.
As far as Joshua goes i think he needs to be more explosive, need to work on his footwork also to be more athletic.

I agree 8 months is a very long time for any boxer, 3-4 fights a year reminds you you're a boxer if not anything else. 8 months will feel especially longer if you're Anthony Joshua - who is contractually obligated to do all these other silly things that will put him off his game.

This isn't exclusively why he lost though. It was his first time dealing with a shorter fighter who throws combinations and he was absolutely pathetic. He's also shown that once he's down he absolutely loses his composure, really struggles to even get his hands up.
