The problem with these things is obvious.

Ali could beat all of them. Most of them could beat Ali too, but the chances would be a bit lower obviously.

I think when you look at guys bigger than Ali, that's where those guys have a better chance. Not because size wins, (styles play a part), but Ali was a big man in his day. In most of his fights, he was the bigger man, and fought that way.

Now, Ali couldn't really fight at range against (just using them as examples) Lewis or Wlad. Simply because those guys can fight at range too, and that would be their strength too.

Could Ali find another way to beat them? Possibly, sure, he was brilliant in the ring. But he'd have to come out of his comfort zone (like the rope a dope).

Thing is, neither Lewis or Wlad are as dopey as Foreman was!!!!

For me it's the opposite, I think most of whom I listed WOULD beat Ali, and while it's possible for Ali to beat some I think HIS chances would be a bit lower.

It's those traits that showed up in later years that make people think that if he'd been placed under similar pressure in his so called prime, the same thing would have happened.

Nobody is past prime at 23, and that's when he lost to Douglas.

I would say he was tired and frustrated in that fight, wouldn't you?

Holmes would have had the best chance of beating Ali because Holmes was a better boxer than Ali. Ali was faster and flashier in his prime, but not as accurate a puncher. Ali's jab was a pawing jab while Holmes was more of a weapon. Ali knew how to outthink the big punchers, but I don't think he could have outthunk Larry, for if Holmes was anything, he was a master technician.

I can't see Ali koing any of them. Maybe if he can get Tyson frustrated, he might TKO him late. But aside from that, all are cool headed and good stamina to fall into Ali's mind tricks.

I can see Lewis UD Ali though.

Holmes, Wlad and Holyfield will lose disputed decision ala Norton.

Byrd and Ruiz will really make Ali look bad.

The rest Ali wins by decision.

So Ali can KO Foreman, Lyle, Frazier, Patterson and Liston but he can't KO ANYONE on that list?

Byrd and Ruiz would make him look bad? Jesus ****ing Christ, I wouldn't be surprised if you only saw 1 Ali fight, the Holmes one!!!!!

Sorry, but I have to respond to this ****ing ******* post again :patsch How in the holy hell would Ruiz make Ali look bad? What would Byrd magically do to become the type of fighter 'overnight' to make Ali look bad????

How overrated do you think all the "ALL-TIME GREATS" that Ali beat are, if you think he COULDN'T KO anyone on the above list??? God your ****ing ruining my morning! :patsch

I probably forgot more Ali fights than you ever watched, kid.

Doug Jones made him look bad.

Henry Cooper made him look bad.

Jimmy Young made him look bad.

    Norton made him look bad.

Ali only tkoed Frazier 1 out of 3 fights. Joe is an offensive machine with only a left hand. The thrilla in Manila is a once in a lifetime fight, don't think that Ali fights like that everytime.

Foreman came to fight with a mindset that he would KO Ali in 1. Nobody in that list is that stupid, especially against a prime Ali.

Liston, well good point. But just because he can TKO Liston means he would TKO all lesser fighters.

Relax ****head, and get off Ali's nuts for a while. you probably only seen highlight clips of Ali. He had great moments against great fighters yes, but have you even seen Ali-Doug Jones? Ali-Cooper? Do you even know that Patterson is a shot fighter when Ali tkoed to him? You enjoyed Ali's trilogy with Norton?

Ali has absolutely no inside fight. And Ruiz will jab and grab him. Once inside, all Ali does is hold. Do you disagree with this? If you do, then that only means you haven't seen his fight.

Ali held a lot, he was always booed almost after every fight. If he were not Ali, he would have been disqualified already several times. Ali-Ruiz will be boring, at least to true boxing fans but for an Ali nuthugger like you, it might give you some boner..

Ali only TKO'd Frazier 1 out of 3 times? Frazier only had a left hook? All the listed boxers were too smart to think they would KO him in 1, therefor wouldn't be KO'd themselves? I thought you were delusional when dealing with your midget, mustached boy crush.....but these arguments are ******ed....KID!

"Ali had great moments against great fighters....." - Enough said, which is more than can be said for anyone on that list, with 1 or 2 exceptions.
