Tyson destroys comebacking Foreman, and probably prime Foreman as well.

I can't believe everyone thinks Tyson just walks through Foreman, that's just silly **** said by people who only saw a comeback Foreman.

This thread is about Tyson vs comeback Foreman not prime Foreman. And I totally agree that he walks right through comeback Foreman.

Because under-strengthed, unimaginative Joe Frazier was a blueprint for Tyson, I suppose?

Pass the crack pipe, please, cuz you have been holding on to it for too long.

    Its crazy isnt it?

Almost as crazy as saying that a fat old man could be off for 10 years comeback and win the heavyweight title at age 45 against an undefeated Heavyweight Champion.

    That could never happen.:scaredas:

    I agree.

Its hard to picture Tyson getting off the canvas once let alone twice the way Stewart did. Then the idea of Tyson sticking and moving is also hard to imagine.

    Pretty farfetched.

Tyson is coming straight to Foreman getting pushed straight back.

Frazier was way more "do or die" than Tyson and had a much more limited repertoire. And he was decidedly weak if any anecdotal evidence is to be believed. Tyson, not a lifter, could drop in on a gym and put up nice numbers in his early teens. Frazier, couldn't out lift pole vaulter Bill Toomey in a simple military press. As Eddie Futch commented, "the worst body of any heavyweight champ ever."

Tyson destroys the old Foreman and makes a classic out of the young Foreman. In that one I think Tyson's strengths cause a ref to stop it before Foreman's strengths take over.

    Call me crazy or drunk.

Yeah, since all Tyson is going to do is come straight to Foreman, who will simply lift his arms up, and then push Mike back. Yep, lift his arms like a mummy and push Mike back. Rinse and repeat until Mike gets pushed out of the ring, or until Mike gets too frustrated from all the pushing Foreman does and quits mentally.

Old Foreman may be more suited than Young Foreman. Crazy as that sounds. More durable, heavier, and stronger.

    :****

You don't belong anywhere near a Tyson thread, EVEN if Foreman is involved.

Kalasinn, I knew this would be brought up. In an old thread I stated:

The mistake some are making here is about George's age. His problem was his weight. George needed to get his weight to 240 AND GET USED TO IT. Yes, George fought once at 235 during his comeback but he felt weak and sluggish. George needed to adapt to a lighter weight. 257 was just too high. Foreman was not a ring worn boxer so the age thing didn't affect him. His weight did.

    * Get used to the weight in a gradual way. As I stated, 240. Get used to it. Maybe even 240-245. A strong 240-245. Not a quick shed of water
    and muscle.
