How does anyone not understand that Usyk is going to do great at heavy?

I want Uzyb to be a HW champ and to be involved in unification bouts in the future.

I just don't know yet if he can do so.

Slightly reminds me of being a fairly young kid and Holyfielf moving up - everybody was "too small, too small!", but he proved himself an ATG.

I very much doubt it, as it seems his career is going to fizzle out due to repeated injuries.

Good luck taking a punch from a 6ft9 270+lber turning his body into it.

I don't know if he has the firepower to engage a good heavyweight. I haven't seen it yet

I honestly just see him being caught clean by a powerful heavyweight and being dropped.
Fury’s power wouldn’t be the main problem it would be his reach and physical strength.

    This is what I mean.

The the entire rest of the boxing community recognized that as the best cruiserweight division ever. You didn't think much of it.

About 20% think the Breidis fight was close, every other one was a walk over, with the much lauded Gassiev being dominated. You thought the fights were close.

    Naw, son.

Good luck on your own special world standards.

He doesn't have the power to keep real heavyweights off him

that means he has to fight laterally and moving constantly against a fighter who can press him

He should be able to outpoint Chisora. I bet he does a better job than Whyte who is overrated himself.

Personally I think the whole Usyk heavyweight thing is about him catching an AJ payday off Hearn.

He had his hands on his head when Ruiz rolled AJ over in NYC.

But he has already done so against Joyce and Mezhidov. Who is going to pressure him more than that?

He will be fine against anyone not named Fury of Joshua.

Joyce is slower & more telegraphed than my 90 year old grandma.

Hence why he is fighting a green up and comer to try and make a name for himself lol.

    As is Wilder.

Who else are we even talking about that has any power? Fat **** Ruiz? Whyte, who is demonstrably about as good as Chisora? Parker?

He'll be fine. I don't think he'll ever beat Fury, but he could be #2 or #3 behind Joshua.

Usyk's heavyweight campaign will end in tears against these morbidly obese out of shape behemoths.

You make fine points however people have been burned by similar things in the past. Tons of guys who were expected to do well when they moved up and for one reason or another they didn’t. Most people are concerned about his age, size and the fact that is HW debut wasn’t spectacular. Didn’t his first Heavyweight Opponent take the fight on four days notice, come in bloated and still last through the seventh? I’ll reserve judgement until his next match up, whenever that might be.
