Who, in what order, and when does Berto have to fight to be "prepared" to take on Floyd or Manny? Seems majority of ESB doesn't feel he deserves to face them, so who does he have to beat to "earn" that right?

If Berto gets the fight, it's by default. Who else aside from Mayweather is there? Nobody wants Mosely. Not many want Marquez. Both of those guys are being hyped up as great opponents by HBO so they have something to sell with name power. The only real opponents for Manny aside Mayweather, then are Bradley/Alexander and Berto, and none of those guys are really ready for Manny from a marketing stand point (not to mention they'll get killed by Manny). I actually prefer Manny to fight the winner of Bradley/Alexander just cause they have more ability than Berto, but it would still be a beatdown.

I think that would do it for most people, but I doubt he jumps up to 154 or 160 right now to fight Sergio. Hell I think you have issues getting Floyd or Manny to jump up there and fight him now.

Its funny to me, because the same thing people criticize Berto for not doing, they criticize him for trying to do. Everyone says he hasn't fought anybody (true to a degree), but then everybody says he doesn't deserve a fight when he tries to get a fight made. What kinda **** is that? I'm no huge Berto fan, but i'm just sayin lol, let him get tested.

Well, I'd like for him to step up a level lower than Pac first. Like SSM or a Clottey. He needs to get tested no doubt. But no sense in letting him get absolutely brutalized. Get him some quality experience first, don't let him jump in with Pac right after a Freddy Hernandez.

Exactly why I put this up. I want to see who he should be in with since nobody wants him in with the big two, but he gets **** for anyone else he fights.

So if he beat SSM or Clottey next you'd have no problem with him fighting Pac in his fight after that?

Arum won't risk Berto even though Pacquiao will win. Shane is easy because he's an uncle tom who will easily give into all of Manny's demands and Arum knows he's low hanging fruit like mostly all of Pacquiaos competition. Berto is the best fight to make. JMM and Shane are wastes of time at this point.Get ready for Shane/Pac coming April.

Keep winning, But fighting more than just once/twice a year.
For instance his last fight was seconds long.

He should be in the ring again ASAP.

Well, he beat Collazo. Clottey is about as good as Collazo, in my opinion. I say he takes the belt from Jan Zaveck and then goes for Mosley. From there he should face Cotto. THEN he can go for P4P #1a and #1b.

I feel the same about the part in bold. He struggled with Collazo, but Cotto struggled against Clottey as well. Partly due to the early cut from the clash of heads though... So you're thinking 3 fights before the top two, end of 2012 or do you feel he should beat those 3 in less time than that? And if not, do you think both Manny and Mayweather will be fighting by the end of 2012?

He was signed to fight SSM back in january but pulled out after the haiti earthquakes. This was also when Mosley was considered the number 1 welter - meaning if he was ready in 2010, then he is ready in 2011. Clottey has moved up in weight. Berto feels he is ready so why not have a crack. He is considered a top 5 welterweight moving into his prime who also happens to have a title so i dont see what the problem is. Mosley is the one who has to prove his worth after two average performances; JMM is unproven at welterweight. Boxing fans dont know what they want sometimes - first they want the best to fight the best by taking chances, then on the other hand when a guy is ready to take a risk by taking a deserved step up he is criticized. Berto for me is most logical if Pac will not meet JMM at jr. Welter
