How does Berto get a shot at Floyd or Pacquiao

  1. For me...

    Khan, Maidana, Bradley, OR Alexander

    AND

    Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, OR Mosley

Basically, 2 more fights (not against bums like Hernandez) and he gets Pacquiao. And that's still considered a pretty weak resume up until a Top 140 pounder and elite welterweight. Really it should be 5 more fights before he DESERVES it, but if I was to fast track him to that mega pay day, I'd propose the above.

Khan, Maidana, Bradley, Alexander = There is nothing to be gained as they are all a weight class below and fighting amongst themselves to see who is the real king of that division. Bradley has dabbled as a welterweight but is still unproven.

Cotto = Moved up in weight, JMW champion
Clottey = Moved up in weight (Intentions on MW)
Margarito = Moved up in weight, and at this point doesn't add any credibility to his resume.
Mosley = If anything he needs to prove his worth after two ordinary performances before facing a title holder

Hernandez was a fringe top 10 opponent, definite worthy at his chance and I don't know where you get off calling him a bum. He's a solid B-class fighter who was smoked by an A-class fighter.

Mosley comes in after two very ordinary performances and Juan Manuel Marquez comes in as fighter two weight classes lower yet they have more credibility than Berto?

Who else at welterweight has more credibility (assuming May isn't available)? Senchenko? Gomez?

I think he should fight Martinez or Cotto, perhaps beat them convincingly to get Pac or Mayweather's attention. But I don't think he is on the radar of Pacquiao at the moment, much more with hiding Floyd.

"he's just looking for a payday"...Uhhh, No ****, what's your point? "Ain't no way he's beating Pac or PBF", bold statement there breh, really you are picking PBF and Pac, thanks Captain obvious no one else would make that pick...ballsy to say the least. So the champ of the division, needs to beat a guy who in his last two fights got virtually shut out by PBF then drew with Sergio ****ing Mora...SMFH. So Berto needs Shane, or is it Shane needed Berto just to remain relevant, either way Berto has been WW champ for 2 years, he's undefeated, and regardless what you and Nostradamus think will happen, he's earned the right to take his shot. No he hasn't had a mega fight, but there are some really decent names on his resume, perhaps you should check it out sometime.

Clottey was a top 5 WW...Collazo was barely top 10...:patsch

Mosley would be perfect for Berto. Than Cotto. After that, IF he wins them both, than let him try the best. Till then, Berto should get at least one win vs. a top 5 WW (hell, top 10 would be a first) before buying into his own hype.
