This is a dumb thread. Buddy Mcgirt is a great trainer. He has the underdog in fights almost everytime and has a great boxing knowledge aswell as him being a former world champ who has there an done that. He did a great job last night and genuinely cares about his fighters. Macklin was down hurt and teetering about the place and would of gotten hurt in that next round. And thats a fact. He did a great job turning Gatti into more of a boxer thus extending his career by a several years. Paulie Malinaggi is an idiot. Having ***** mother****ers like you talking **** about a man who knows more about boxing than you will ever know about anything.

Give him a Mayweather or a Pacquiao and he would be Freddie Roach or somebody.

That's exactly what I said, in a previous thread.

    - But was this actually Buddy's direction, or did a tired & frustrated Macklin suddenly revert back to his old self in the latter rounds, giving Sergio the opening he needed?

That was a good stoppage on the part of McGirt. I see nothing wrong in what he did. Macklin did his best and fell short. Give the ****ing coach his due.

    :patsch:rofl
if they got Ali to go in a gym and babble some **** to a few young kids and sit in a corner during a fight posing for the camera you fools would try to say he offered ring side insight that can't be taught by no trainer

    this is just sad

What's money's record got to do with anything..... don't believe roger trained him for all his fights anyway, Floyd snr did for early half/part of his pro career.....

I still think McGrit ruined Bajado, but yes, I share the sentiments with those who say his fighter is often the underdog in fights, hence his fighters losing so often. As far as his stopping fights too much, I think it has more to do with something in his psyche rather than him "caring about his fighters". Not saying he doesn't, but there are plenty of trainers who care about their guy, but wouldn't be so quick to stop the fight.

Not true. Remember, he trained Gatti. Not like he wasn't getting hit..

as long as he keeps getting hired by big underdogs I'm happy, just bet the fight wont go the distance if he's got a loser on his hands because when it comes to crunch time, he's pullin the plug.
