And the reverse of this is that we could say that we know what Ricky can do:

Beat a well, prepared European level Kevin Mitchell.
Beat a well past prime Katsidis who had been battered by JMM & Guerrero in his last two meaningful fights.
Beat an average guy handed a 'regular' belt for reasons unknown.
Beat another guy who was being tooled by Nicky Cook for three rounds.
Beat another guy with a degenerative back condition.
    Beat a Norwegian midget.
    Beat a TTG.

I'd say he has as many if not more questions to answer about his capabilities. We'll see what he's got in a month's time.

We'll be seeing Harrison and Rees before Broner if Burns beats Vazquez.

In fact, what am I talking about?

There is no way Ricky Burns is beating Miguel Vazquez. People are picking Vazquez over Broner if they ever fight. Broner is on another level overall to Ricky Burns and if people are saying Vazquez beats Broner, then he will most definitely beat Ricky Burns. No?

At the end of the day, this ship has sailed now, Team Burns priced themselves out of a Broner fight. They should have been all over it if they were as confident as they say they are of beating Broner. But it seems Team Burns think Ricky Burns is worth more than he actually is and Team Broner think much the same. They offered him the fight, and they are claiming its not the first time, and whenever they do its always the same excuse and Team Burns run away.

Like I said, they wont be waiting around for Ricky Burns to make a decision, they'll sit back and laugh when he gets beat by Vazquez and be looking forwards, not backwards, Broner aint waiting for nobody. They will be looking to sweep up the division and move up before you can blink.

    Ricky Burns, who dat!?!

You are entitled to your opinion that Broner beats Burns ( I agree with you) but Broners level of competition hasn't been even remotely as high as you make out.

If Burns defeats Vazquez he has a better CV than Broner FACT hell even now they are around even

    I agree.

But that IF is so f*cking massive, if Ricky beats Vazquez, I'll go as far to say that he has caused a shock and a massive upset.

But mate, just look at Vazquez's record man -

This is a harder fight style wise than Broner for Burns, because Vazquez moves so much and dictates a high tempo. When you look at who he has been in with and how experienced he is, its more than just likely that he can run rings around Ricky and win the fight. If Ricky wins though, it'll be incredible.

I'd say watch Vazquez's last fight, he was pretty good. :good

Couldn't agree more Vazquez is an excellent boxer almost looks sloppy but throws accurate punches from all sorts of angles and is very patient but I have underestimated Burns before.

So have lots of people.

Vazquez's style is hell for Ricky Burns, to be honest, its hell for anyone. Question is, does he move around more than Sergio Martinez? :huh

As much as I'd like to see Burns beat Vasquez, part of me wants him to lose so that we get to see the winner of that fight vs Broner. I really don't see Burns fighting Broner if he wins that fight, at all. The noises coming from his manager kind of confirm this, and in all likelihood he'll fight someone like Harrison or Rees and Broner will move up to 140.

uh yeah, he wasnt put down though, and he wasnt exactly held up by the ropes

Craney, you gotta try harder mate, you actually bigged up Broner beating Eloy Perez as some sort of bragging right. UNDEFEATED FIGHTER!!!
Beating undefeated british champion Graham Earl in tenth fight > beating a coked up Eloy Perez and getting a gift vs Quintera

billy, how do you and burns go about beating broner, im guessing quick feet and hands and in and out would be the right game plan, burns may have to make it a stinky fight but i reckon he can get the win aslong as he sticks to a game plan and not get too involved.

what do you reckon billy mate?
and what did you and ricky think of last nights fight?
