Hello, What do you guys think of Charlie Mitchell's pound for pound status going off of his record? Where do you guys have him ranked?
I don't know he did fight some bigger guys like, Herbert Mario Slade, and Patsy Cardiff. Even took the best heavyweight of the time Sullivan to a draw in 1888.
At 155lbs he was one of the best heavyweight contenders of his era, perhaps even the best for a short time. I think that we have to rate him very highly pound for pound, perhaps in the same category as Kid McCoy.
