How does Cleverly stack against Shumenov?

Shumenov retained his WBA title against Uzelkov on friday. A titlist in his 10th pro fight, he shut out Uzelkov after coming back from a first round knockdown.
Obviously Clev is a Euro champ, fighting Murat in a title eliminator for the WBO.
Shumenov is busy, throws a lot of punches, but has a tendancy to leave himself open when throwing in volume.
Clearly Celv's power is developing, and as has been said on numerous occasions, he can now fully apply himself to boxing after graduating from uni.
More experianced in the pro's, Would Clev have the edge if these two met up? Shumenov has a large amatuer career, participating in more than 200 fights.
Is it a fight people can realistically see happening in the future?
Obiously clev has to come out on top against Murat, and then defeat Braehmer, who to be honest has had a few soft defences of late.
Does Clev cope well against someone who does throw in volume, and who he might not be able to physically overpower?

i watched the fight on espn and thought shumenov was a lot better than his 10 fights, think cleverly would be ok because after the first round uzelkov did almost nothing for the rest of the fight and i think cleverly would remain busy during the entire fight.

Yeah, i thought uzelkov was lazy as ****, doing this weird blinking thing. I think what shumenov has shown though is that if you are good enough, get in the mix. To win any world tite in your tenth fight is phenonmenal.

i think its a fight clev could win but both have plenty of time to improve.

avid have you seen both campillo fights? Shumenov was given the title.

I saw some of the second one, and i would say he was fortunate. But he was given it, and now is doing what he should be - defending it. Ok, the guy he fought was not the best, but he KO'D 10 of his last 11 opponents.

Having said he was fortunate, he certainly displayed some neat skills, and punches very nicely round the guard. I think Clev deals with him too, but it would not be any easier than fighting Murat IMO.

i would say Murat is better than Ukelkhov and Campillo. So they will be at a simular stage when the fight comes along.

i think Cloud would be a better fight for Cleverly.

Clev wins this no prob, the Murat fight will be tougher than this guy.

Shame Warren only goes the WBO route as Braehmer is dangerous as fook, a win over Murat then Braehmer in the next year puts him in line for the Dawson Pascal winner.

If Clev gets the WBO I expect he will sit on it for a couple of years though.

It would be a great fight. Yeah, Shumenov got gifted the title, but he has sort of validated his position as champion by beating a top contender in Uzelkov.

I would pick Shumenov to win.

    murat is a tougher fight.

cloud is all wrong for cleverly.

clev should beat most of the others though, he's mustard! :)

I would want to see clev at least beat murat before any fight is made with cloud. Maybe see how he gets on with pascal?

see i think shumenov would be harder than people are giving it credit for.

I like the look of the Murat fight. He fought an american in his last fight, and did not have it all his own way. Think Clev comes through Murat, and then it's anyones guess against Braehmer, although as i have said, he has been matched relatively poorly.

Shumenov beat a legit contender, who had a good pro record, and excellent KO ratio. Clev comes through it, closely, but he wins

    Cloud would destroy Cleverly.

    Murat probably will.

I'm not sold on Shumenov; the opponent on Friday looked good on paper, but offered little.

Campillo is underrated; quality against Shumenov twice.

See i am not sold totally on Murat, and only slightly more so on Cleverly.
Clev needs to beat Murat, and Braehmer before touching anyone like cloud.

Ideally; Murat - Braehmer - Pacal - then Cloud.
If he comes through all of that, Bad Chad

I don;t think he beats Murat to be honest. Nor Braehmer. Deffo not Pascal (can't see the Dawson fight taking too much out of Pascal though he'll lose)

Cleverly is not bad by any means. He doesn't appear World Class either IMO, studies or not.

I watched Shumenov at the weekend, its a pity the Uzelkov didn't elect to stand and punch more because the fight could have been a good one.

Instead Shumenov simply outworked him whilst Uzelkov covered up and barely threw.

Cleverly would have some problems with Shumenov who proved to have excellent work rate and is in great condition, but I think Cleverly's more rounded skills will see him pick up a decision.
