Killing himself just stop it. You do realize Chico fought at 130 for years wining a title there after PBF destroyed him. You can't win here your argument is full of holes. If he was drained he would have moved up not fight at a weight he couldn't make for years after.:deal The Chico who fought PBF was light years better than the bloated and done version who clottey fought.

Diego Corrales looked dead at 130 lbs. He failed to make weight on his first attempt, scaling two pounds over the junior lightweight limit. An hour later, after some downtime in a sauna, Corrales made the weight. By the time the bout began, Corrales had rehydrated to the tune of 146 lbs............... although some of that weight could be attributed to a large club sandwich Corrales was seen scarfing in his dressing room a few hours before fight time................Once the fight began, Corrales appeared lethargic and later in the bout, his skinny legs frequently buckled under Mayweather's pinpoint accuracy.:hi:

Please you mean the same Clottey who always melted down when he had to step up? That Clottey? Mosley would have outworked and beat up Clottey. Who would have shelled up most of the fight. Clottey for whatever reason could never get over the hump. He was a B- class fighter at absolute best, nothing special in the grand scheme of things.

How do you explain Chico continuing to fight at 130 even wining a title there for years after if he was drained? Please do because if you can't you've lost the argument.
Lastly, you never saw the fight just repeating garbage that you heard other PBF haters speak as a matter of fact you weren't even watching boxing back then. PBF's performance against Chico is the best exhibition of the sweet science of this era.:deal

I think Clottey would find a way to lose some at least one of these fights.

He'd take a lead against Mosley, throw 10 punches per round from the 8th round on, and then claimed he was robbed (or had an injury).

I wouldn't be surprised if he choked away a lead against Hatton and found a way to lose to Maidana, whom he is certainly more skilled then.

You're a laughingstock troll. You have 100 alts make 10 excuse threads a day and pick PBF to win the fight. I've never seen you start a thread breaking down a fight or giving real ****ysis. You don't know **** and are mentally ill.

Mayweather's last fight before Corrales had been 5 months earlier against Emanuel Burton Augustus at 135. It was just a non-title fight, Mayweather hadn't vacated or left the division for good or anything.

Corrales had vacated his title at 130 four months earlier and said he was moving up to 135, but changed his mind when the Mayweather negotiations started and HBO offered a multi-fight deal to the winner.

I don't know if Corrales was drained, he was always big for 130 and 135, maybe he gained too much in the short time before the Mayweather fight got signed, but he fought at 130 for 3 years more and had one of his best wins there against Casamayor in the rematch.

He could have just looked dead against Floyd because he was up against not only a better fighter, but one who had the perfect style to make him look horrible.

Who knows? Whatever the case, Clottey is still a skilled choke-artist. And I mean he's skilled at both the art of boxing and the art of choking.

Of course if you subtract out a fighter's best wins..his resume will look "worse"

Very convenient. In your opinion, Clottey has a two year prime that ends before he fights Pacman for no real reason.

And Corrales has a prime that mysteriously extends 3 years so he can lose to Floyd. One could swear this was a deliberate ironic post.

Thread-Starter already laid it out. There is reason to think Corrales was drained.

Bloated? Corrales looked like his lanky self. He re-hydrated to WW against Floyd, you know?

I think you need to appreciate, Clottey's skills. Though he also came in at 170..and just had too much power.

Granted, Clottey failed to rise to the occasion in his biggest fights so it's completely reasonable to suspect that he'd continue that pattern against Mosley.

I'm basing my opinion on how Shane failed to perform against Winky Wright, another high-guard, pressure fighter. I suspect that Mosley would of had trouble landing clean punches on Clottey's guard whilst Clottey would have been able to counter effectively and pile up enough rounds to win on the cards.

One other factor that has to be considered is the version of Mosley that fought Floyd was the post PED variety of the Sugar-man (Suge Green calls him "Sugar-Free Shane".) So if it's this version in which the we're matching Clottey against, it becomes even more difficult for me to regard a past-prime and unmedicated version of a fighter who had already failed against a high-guard pressure opponent who's similar to Clottey, at a time in which Shane presumably benefitted from PEDs.
