    I honestly can't pick here..

I mean you could say plaster won Margarito that match but then what if it didn't?................

Margarito's style suits ageing better than Cotto's does and Cotto is FAR less mobile now than he was when they fought before. In fact I think Cotto has slid a lot since then....

But then margarito has too....but **** me Cotto is 1/2 the fave that's insane. Is there something going on no one has told me about?

    1. Margarito was sent to the hospital in his last fight. Usually that requires an easy tuneup after.

    2. Cotto is with Steward now.

    3. The plaster.

    4. Cotto was expected to win the first time around too.

Personally, I think it will mirror the first fight. It will be a poor mans version of Marg/Cotto 1 due to their fading since then.

I dont see Cotto winning, but Ill be rooting for him to do so thats for sure.

    I agree with points 1 + 4.

    My views on the others:

    3. But - AND I AM NOT A PRO MARGARITO FAN - what if plaster wasn't involved?

2: Stewards modern style suits jabber and movers and Cotto is older and slower now and I can't see he's jabs working as effectively as his combination punching from fight one; that was sick to behold! He was atrocious vs pac man.

(need to watch that classic again now!)

My problem is Marg hasn't looked too good either - hard fight to pick.

Margarito after the pad scandal has shown he's nothing more than a club level fighter while Cotto is still a B/B+ fighter.

It will take a lot out of both of them, someone said a poor mans version of Cotto-Margarito 1, I think thats about right. It won't be as fast paced, and probably a lot sloppier. It's hard to say who has more left, before Margarito's loss to pac, I would have said Margarito, but that was a real beat down, must have taken a lot out of Margarito. Since their first fight both have had 2 draining fights, for Cotto it was Clottey and Pacquiao, and for Margarito it was Mosley and Pacquiao. I kind of see the outcome the same, but if Cotto can stick and move more, he could pull out a decision.

margs chin and desire won him the fight and took everything out of cotto psychologically as cotto threw everything at him but the kitchen sink. I see a repeat

Sorry I did not see this thread until after I started a simaliar one like it.

The handwraps had nothing to do with the manner or outcome of their first fight. Cotto, will once again get busted up and stopped. Margarito is just all wrong for Cotto. Plus Cotto, is not as good as once thought.

Cotto is going to beat him with ease.

Margo is done and doesn't have his secret weapon anymore.

So basically you are saying that even if he was wearing hand wraps on the first fight, that wouldn't affect the outcome? :patsch

Pretty sure this will be Cotto's mantra going into the fight but if at some point Margarito starts hurting him continuously Cotto will realize the futility
of continuing the fight and might fold again.

Cotto's plan will obviously be to outbox AM for 12 rounds and if Margarito has lost a step Cotto comes out victorious!
