Deontay Wilder stacks up to Evander Holyfield like Errol Spence stacks up to Mayweather.

The young green fighters have POTENTIAL to be great but the old guys have already PROVEN to be great.

Wilder doesn't have the potential to be great, couldn't be further from the truth....

If we're gonna discuss this than we need to bring in experience, pro and amateur. They're worlds apart. Comp as defining era's, worlds apart. As far as life time boxing experience, maybe not that far off, but Wilder has years to peove what Evander did. Will he? Doubtful. But in todays watered down division He's a paper champion and one of the best. Take that as you will.

In theory Wilder could land something big and score an amazing knockout!!

He has size, power, the unbeaten record, on a roll etc.

In reality Holyfield beats the tar out of him till he quits on his stool.

I know you're trolling and thats OK it's pretty funny sometimes.

BUT being a boxing fan, which I know you are, doesn't it make you feel even slightly bad comparing Wilder to Holyfield, even for the troll?

It should do but I think that for every person gives an actual reply his bad feeling dissipates a little.

This thread would have now moved from "feeling a little bad" to "a proper giggle" as surely no-one expected this amount of replies that were even semi-serious?

I mean really, even in a fantasy fight, putting average ass Evander in there with the beast that is 'ontay? That's just cruel man.

Not very well. Holyfield was WBC, WBA, IBF Crusierweight champion. Was WBC, WBA, IBF Heavyweight Champion. Beat Bowe, Tyson (twice once by Quittage) Moorer, Foreman, Holmes, etc.

Wilder's best wins are Stiverne and Molina and he seems to not want to fight his Mandatory Povetkin.

I'd say so. Wilder's an overrated glass jawed fraud and Holyfield's an ATG. This comparison is, to say the least, absurd.

At this point of Wilder's career a prime Holyfield should win with relative ease. Wilder's chin isn't proven yet, not too say my view on this is un changeable though
