look, i never said abraham or kessler would beat those guys, i would make tiger a fav against both, and fullmer may beat them too yes you mention fullmer's good wins against great fighters, you ask me what abraham has done to compare to that.... well easy why dont you watch both guys box, and honestly tell me after watching fullmer box, that he is so much better then abraham or kessler [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZmS0m21c7A&feature=PlayList&p=255AC215781F8079&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=16[/ame] i know this bio quite well but watch the tape and honestly tell me abraham does not have a good chance against him lol
Fullmer has many similarities with Abraham actually, except he could also fight very effectively as the aggressor/spoiler. Fullmer the boxer: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBoUNxw5bgQ[/ame] Fullmer the pressure fighter: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tL2gk074zVk[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fv_4ea1gaQw[/ame]
**** the rose tinted glasses I dont think Dick Tiger does that well, his footwork doesnt get better after stepping out of the time machine, neither does he develop a jab or straight right as a result Ward would beat him, too much speed and movement Dirrell - I can see Dirrell outboxing him and holding on the inside. Maybe Tiger gets to him Im not sure Abraham - close match up, Tiger may outwork him, I could see Abraham timing some big shots. Could go either way Kessler - The Danes jab and guard will be hard for Tiger to get past, if Tiger can slip inside and work Kessler over he'll do well, but easier said than done without a jab Froch - Tiger ruins him, you dont have low hands against Tiger Taylor - Taylor builds up a lead before getting starched as per usual
Joey G had one of the greatest chins of all time, if AA can spark him he can just as well spark LaMotta and Hagler. Trust me its not happening.
Because the jabs and straight rights he used to whup fighters like Fullmer and Giardello don't count? roll: You mean like Benvenuti had too much speed and movement? Just like Tiger's other fights with low-workrate aggressors could've gone either way, right?
I think fights against Ward and Dirrell would have been tough affairs, although you favour Tiger to get the job done against both. Those are the two guys who present the stylistic difficulties for Tiger. I can't see Kessler keeping him off (he couldnt stop ol joe) and Froch gets anhillated. I think Abraham could spark almost anyone other than the very top echelon of chins. Do i see it happening? No and Tiger gets a decision I think.
Yes indeed Ward and Dirrell would have had the best chance of all those mentioned to defeat Tiger...IF they had the necessary toughness to accompany those jab and move skills, and of course if they could go 15 rounds aswell as Tiger, who was accustomed it (provided that they were fighting Tiger for a title).
