That's what I am talking about.

He proved that, and it was somthing he needed to prove.

If Wlad can unify he'll be remembered as a top 10 ATG.

Does anyone remember how unappreciated, hated & despised Lennox Lewis was? Now most have him in the top 5 or 10 all time.

Sometimes you don't know what you have until it's gone.

He just needs to unify is my only argument. He's the best fighter in the division right now and unification would make that even more clear.

Wlad seems to be in his prime right now. A time when physical skills, confidence, and technique are all at high levels.

I do think Wlad is headed to the boxing hall of fame. The question for him is will be make it to all time great status? Wlad needs a title unification match. The winner of Ibragimov vs Holyfield will due.

Any unification matches are fine with me:

    Sultan vs. Chagaev

    Wladimir vs. Maskaev

    etc, etc.

Peter doesn't need to be involved in any of those yet unless he gets a real belt, not a fake interim one. Should he accomplish that, he'd be right in the mix.

Good points. I have LL as a top 5 ATG - easily. Wlad has done very well in his past 5 fights, and would be quite competitve vs LL. No doubt LL was uh, under appreciated, especially by US fans. Wlad is fighting the same and more biases than LL. Either of the top 2 choices is a good answer to the survey - except for the I hate Wlad brigade.

    None of the above.

Wlad has excellent skills, but can't reach top tier ATG status because of his chin.

All my boxing friends in NY hated Lewis with a passion. I was sold on his abilities when he quickly KO'd Razor Ruddock. I believe it was on or around Halloween. My band was playing a party & we took a break to watch the fight. It was a short break......................:yep

Even then people were saying stupid **** like Lewis beat a shot Razor or that he landed a lucky punch. Maybe it was Lennox's arrogance, the fact he wasn't American or whatever. But ask those same people today & they'll say "Lewis was a dominate champion, the last great one, etc."

I think those who voted for #2 are seriously under rating how hard it would be to unify in today's HW climate.

So, like me, I take it you disagree with Zakmans rating of LL as the 3rd best 90s HW :nut
