Who is the better boxer is not the same as who has beaten the better opposition. So who is the better boxer? I think that's a good question.

Stevens is a good puncher so I don't know what the lol is about. So who has the better chin? That's another good and significant question because GGG's chin looks better but he hasn't fought as good competition and chin would obviously factor into the outcome of this match up.

IDK... Tito was never in a brawl that he didn't win.... GGG would have to do a lot more i his career before people keep on annointing him into the next all time great...

    Just look at Tito's resume...

True. I'm not even saying GGG would win I'm just saying it's a possibility and an interesting match up because GGG seems to have skills, power, chin, speed and is the naturally bigger man.

Who is the better boxer? The answer to that question is a no-brainer; Trinidad. Trinidad has beaten the better opposition - and it ain't even close. Golovkin has done nothing other than beat up on rejects from Joe Louis' "Bum of the Month" club. Call me when Golovkin beats someone with a pulse.

Stevens is a guy who looks like he should be campaining @ 154 and has done absolutely NOTHING in his whole career. Trinidad has completely obliterated guys who would make short work of Stevens. The fact that you're haning your whole argument on Golovkin's win over Stevens speaks to the fact that Golovkin's resume is W E A K. Stevens wouldn't have made it out of the 3rd round against Tito.

I think Tito would go down several times if they were in a fight for sure... he was always knocked down but got up....

Tito vs. Vargas great fight.... I know off topic but what a fight... youtube it.

I'm not "haning" any argument on Stevens, I'm not saying GGG's resume isn't weak and I'm not even saying he's a better boxer or would beat Tito so I'm not sure what this rant is about. I'm just saying it's an interesting matchup for many reasons. They both have power, they both have some skill and they both have some flaws. If you want to base everything off resume then fine.

    :deal

Golovkin is 31 already and has done shi'ite with his career other than win a meaningless trinket @ 160 and run through a string of BUMs, STIFFs, TOMATO CANs, No Hopers and NEVER WEREs.

Trinidad, OTOH, was a first ballot HOF'er by the time he was 31 - and we're supposed to believe that Golovkin is somehow competitive with Tito?

    LOL....

Different guys have different career paths. Look at Sergio Martinez and Bernard Hopkins (who beat Tito). How great were their resumes when they were GGG's age? It's not where you've been, it's where you are now and right now GGG has a good chance of beating anyone at 160lbs.

    LOL...

Hopkins' and Martinez' resumes @ 160 shi'ites all over Golovkin's. The ONLY reasons why Golovkin would be favored to beat anyone @ 160 is because the division is W E A K, like Golovkin's resume, and Sergio is *39* years old. The Martinez who beak Pavlik would school Golovkin...

Their resumes when they were GGG's age?

That's a convenient excuse  It's no weaker than most other divisions.

So what. Hopkins was still performing at that age. How old are Mayweather and JMM?

What makes you say that? Is it because he beat a shot alcoholic who wasn't particularly good to begin with? Sergio didn't have a great resume at 31/32 so you shouldn't be rating him.

Tito would tear canelo up worse than he did Vargas. I would take Vargas over Canelo too

I would take Tito over GGG any day of the week. That era of champs were truly great fighters. GGG is a throw back to them in a way considering his experience (amateur, better than Oscar's or Floyds resume minus Oscar's Gold) and his incredible power. However he isn't as fast as Tito or Oscar were and doesn't move like they do. Tito would probably UD or late stoppage GGG. But I do think GGG is special fighter, but not as special as Tito was

    Tito only lost to:
    1. A guy who is the LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHSMP at 50.
    2. A guy who won a HEAVYWEIGHT Title; and
    3. An ATG 154lb fighter. .

He would KILL these JWW's masquerading as Welters..

He loses to Mayweather and beats everyone else bar Martinez at 160. A bit too telegraphed and easy to hit to beat Mayweather.
